She's brilliant. She's a passionate cost saver, reuser and recycler, I make up all the cleaning products she recommends and she gives all the recipes to make them. Saves a fortune, its very easy to do, and it's great for me because I have asthma/eczema and I react badly to artificial sprays. You will probably want your own copy tbh, I use mine a LOT!I'm currently awaiting this book from the library but I've found this 33 page excerpt which looks very interesting:

Having watched her on You Tube and reading the excerpt of her book I was reaching the same conclusion!
I too have asthma etc with the associated problems.
Trouble is which of her two books to buy
August is going to be another slow reading month for me. It doesn’t matter what book it is, I just can’t seem to sit and focus for long.
Currently about 3/4 through the two I started at the beginning of the month - Our Holiday by Louise Candlish and Talking at Night. I should be flying through both of these!
Determined to finish both by Thursday and then we’re on holiday for two weeks (to Orlando, so not one for the reading so much
)

I have all 3 of the cleaning ones, my husband has the gardening one, and haven't bought her latest one. I use them all about equally so couldn't really recommend a fave, there's different stuff in all of them. But amazon do a good deal for all of them as a bundle sometimes or sometimes a kindle deal, but i prefer the hard copies tbhHaving watched her on You Tube and reading the excerpt of her book I was reaching the same conclusion!

I'm so the same it's taken me 5 days to read 150 pages which is slow for me. But the weather has been glorious and I've been super busy lately so probably why!August is going to be another slow reading month for me. It doesn’t matter what book it is, I just can’t seem to sit and focus for long.

I had to listen to Girls in Tears over audiobook as my library didn't have the physical copy - I was surprised I enjoyed the format, I've tried in the past and couldn't gel. Maybe this is the start of my foray into audiobooks!

Just finished Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll, not sure how I feel about using a real life serial killer in a fictional novel. But otherwise, its a great book.

I thought that as well, it didn’t quite sit right with me but it’s a good book.
I felt the same about Bright Young Women. Although she did fictionalise some parts of the book anyone who knows the case would have been able to easily identify who she was writing about. Also it came out at the same time as one of the real survivors released a book so it felt quite exploitative. I would have preferred to read her book.
@Boogs I think the fictional book overshadowed the survivor’s book which is a shame.
Yes when you look at the difference in numbers of reviews on Amazon you know who profited from this. It feels really crass to release this book at the same time.

Finally finished Cleopatra and Frankenstein today. Enjoyed the writing and I'd give it 4 stars. However, there were bits of it that made for uncomfortable reading.
Now onto Our Holiday by Louise Candlish. Flying through it already. She's one of those authors whose books I pretty much always buy.

It’s only short novella. I did enjoy it overall but it’s an odd premise.

I love a light hearted, sweet, steamy, smutty friends to lovers or whatever to lovers, fake relationship whatever trope.
But I think I'm coming to the end of my Ali Hazelwood/Elena Armas loving.
Ali Hazelwood as much as I love formulaic in that genre, it's all a bit too samey when I always want to call the male "Daddy".
Elena Armas was on thin ice after The Long Game which I hated. Have just read The Fiance Dilemma and honestly the story was so ridiculous, a fake engagement where the man was in love with the woman before they even met already and just the general plot was ridiculous.
And it's such a shame because I love their early stuff, The Love Hypothesis, Spanish Love Deception, American Roommate Experiment.
But, alas, everything has its time and everything ends, and my willingness to buy their books appears to be at an end.

If you enjoyed that then you should give her new book, Blue Sisters a read! It's 1000x better and probably my favourite book I've read this year. I didn't actually like C&F that much... it was OK but I hated all the characters (I don't always mind a book having all unlikeable characters but for some reason I did with this one.. ).
ali hazelwood needs to break out of the reylo fic thing. i know that’s what made her
famous but she will never grow as a writer until she stops playing with the same two characters and tropes. they’re always the same two people (reylo) in vaguely similar plots. all i remember of elena armas is the guy putting the girl’s whole boob in his mouth in spanish love deception (that is her right?!
