I seem to have ended up reading 3 books at once
Have finished the Celia Imrie book which left me feeling a bit odd. Couldn't really put my finger on it. Maybe the plot was too fast moving, a bit disjointed. Also reminded me a bit of the Agatha Raisin books but they were better. Could imagine it being a TV drama. I don't really know what to say.
Also finished The Private World of Georgette Heyer which was nicely written and a quiet pleasure to read.
Still have the last 2 hours of a Harry Potter book to listen to, I find the battles a bit boring to listen to, especially when Stephen Fry gets all spitty and phlegmy whilst reading it....

Doesn’t look like my usual read at all but for 99p I’m giving it a try. I thought to myself I didn’t like fantasy books but growing up I loved the Faraway Tree books and I’m still a big Harry Potter fan so why not. I’m too easily influenced

i hope you like it it’s a very gentle read (even the “big” parts of it are played in a soft way) but it’s so so lovely. i got attached to everyone in it!

I could have written this exact post myself before I read it, I was totally influenced by good reviews here to give it a go! The fantasy elements are there but they’re almost incidental to the story and the lovely characters so don’t let them put you off.

I listened to on audio and the narration was sublime. For me though it is a beautifully thought provoking book about how being different is ok. The characters are adorable and capture your heart. I laughed, I cried and I fell completely in love

On Borrowbox there is an audiobook series I am listening to which has 6 books, the Borrowbox only has books 1-4 available! Ughhhh Books 5 and 6 are missing and the series came out years ago...

I was so sad to see this, this morning. I started buying the Jim Kay for eldest and they got stopped. Appreciate Jim isnt feeling the best so feel nasty moaning about it.

So I thought ok will start the Mina Lina for youngest.

I wonder what has gone wrong there... they seemed to sell well.

On Borrowbox there is an audiobook series I am listening to which has 6 books, the Borrowbox only has books 1-4 available! Ughhhh Books 5 and 6 are missing and the series came out years ago...

Does your library have a request form? You could ask them to get books 5 and 6 on Borrowbox (I can't see them saying no, it's silly not to have a full series available!)

I really enjoyed Elton John’s. He’s led a crazy life and is pretty honest about it all!

I have to admit I've not read many, but I would always recommend Michael Caine's. It such an entertaining, enjoyable read.
Also Claire Tomalin's memoir, A Life of My Own is superb.

I think I will enquire! It does seem silly to have an incomplete series!
