I promised my OH I'd wait until he got home to watch A Good Girls Guide to Murder but I just couldn't wait. I have many thoughts (only watched the first episode) but mainly - [spoilers for the whole plot]
How the duck dare they cast Matthew Baynton as Eliot Ward? The casting otherwise is spot on, Max is so creepy and Pip is exactly how I imagined her.
And did the first scene feel incredibly spoilery to anyone? I didn't think it was revealed in the book that Andie Bell ultimately died of a head wound until much later on?
I finished Good Girl, Bad Blood today on my walk around town and immediately started book 3. Is the entire book just Pip having PTSD? Cos... duck that
I loveee him but struggling to picture him in this role! Intrigued to watch it. I found the book a bit meh but I can see it working as a series/film.

Got undoctored and the silent patient in the monthly deals, heard good things about both.
same on all counts! i honestly pictured someone like hozier when i was reading it - paul (as the kids say) looks too much like he knows what an iphone is. found the book meh too despite loving maggie o’farrell.
also finished fourth wing and for all my griping at the start i ended up really enjoying it. i’ve heard so much mixed feedback on iron flame though - i know a few of you have read it, is it really that rough?
I just finished The Garnett Girls and didn’t love it. Family books are usually my kinda book but I didn’t vibe or gel with any of the characters. I actually found all the sisters really annoying and dramatic!

I just started that this evening! Enjoyed Part of Your World and Yours Truly by her.
I felt so SEEN reading the main male character in Yours Truly (I forgot his name
). His social anxiety etc reminded me a lot myself and seeing it accepted made me a bit teary.Abby Jimenez is kinda what I expected Emily Henry's books to be like before I read any of hers, but Abby's much better imo based on the ones I have read.

I've just picked up from the library the last book in the Lucinda Riley Seven sisters saga. I'm putting off reading it until I can be alone for a few days to savour it.

after A MONTH I’ve finally finished the passengers. really enjoyed it but because of the length of time it took me to read I did feel out of the story a bit. I didn’t finish a single book in June, my goal for July is to read for at least 20 minutes a day. I’m 5 books behind my storygraph goal which I’m hopeful I can catch up on I’ve missed this thread!

I just read Exile by Aimee Walsh. Beautifully written, disturbing, I really, really loved it. And as a teenager in Liverpool in 2008, I enjoyed the references and the nostalgic imagery evoked by Walsh as her Irish protagonist explores the city as a uni student.
I adored it too. Got an ARC of it. I feel the ending was probably too far fetched but I did enjoy it.
I'm off to The Works to buy the sprayed edges version of Reckless by Lauren Roberts today, is anyone else?
Do you recommend the series? I've got Powerless on my TBR.
I enjoyed it! It's nothing groundbreaking but it was a good read for sure.
