And needing to go to a hotel overnight because the appointment is for 8?
She's not in the bleeping Aran islands she's 2.5 hours from Dublin.
Many's the appointment I had with my daughter in Crumlin for 8am travelling from Cork and we left home at 4.30am.

We always stay overnight for a 8.30 or 9 am appointment in Dublin, that part I wouldn't see anything wrong with, I get the anxiety at changes, I get it a bit if my daughters appointment is changed and we have to rearrange everything, not meltdown bad but just it's a pain even rearranging the dogs careFfs.

absolutely disgraceful trying to ramp up cancer concern with the tears for 24 hours then having to explain it only a change of appointment date. You seriously couldn’t make up the way this wan takes advantage of kindness. Such a selfish cow. There are patients going through treatment daily with dignity and privacy. She must have been reared in the gutter. Good luck to the medical staff in taking their annual leave when she’s around. Imagine having to deal with that. She isn’t the only one. There are people terminal this Christmas. They’re the people to think about.

She mentioned before that she doesnt know what the day and what the date is. Barry is checking all appointments for her!!! Now she is moaning that she is so organized! Bulshit!! But they way she came on yesterday, all puffy-eyed and red-nosed, a lot of people going through this journey with her may have been very worried. She could easily come on and say, 'lads I had my appointments changed and it fucks everything up in my head', but no, she decides to leave people hanging and a day later cones on to explain. In the grand scheme of a cancer journey, it's nothing much.

I reckon she'll come on Monday and the team in Dublin are SO FAB and doing her a favour and she's not up til after her birthday (when in fact there's been no change).

Well you never know she hadn’t been minding herself at all. I work in healthcare in the community no illness with me thank god! But I haven’t had a night out with friends since February!! I work go home do my weekly shop that’s it!!

Totally thought the same - in which case I can sort of understand the defending of someone she cares about. Love is blind, blah blah. When loads of other people are all sharing similar sentiments in that person’s behaviour though and you’re the only one thinking the behaviour is absolutely grand and acceptable...you probably need to look at yourself in the mirror too, because you might have a few personality traits to straighten yourself.
FFS though - I said it yesterday; she’s doing a reality TV dramatic cliff hanger thing, and the thing she was vaguely alluding to would turn out to be nothing much. Lo and behold - it’s just that appointment dates are changing.

I mean - that’s actually great that it’s nothing consequential at all and all that she has to do is reorganise some stuff, which she and Barry have plenty of time and flexibility to do given they’re not working. The whole 5th/6th thing - 24 hours is not ‘up in the air’! Plan as if it’s the 5th and then if it’s actually gonna be the 6th, you get a bonus day.
