The way she is slagging off laminate worktops shows how out of touch she is with her audience. A lot of her followers probably have laminate worktops, there is nothing wrong with them. And anyone who has an ounce of common sense would know that the raw edges are covered with a strip of edging. She really boils my blood
Literally just came on here to say the same thing. So basically they picked something that looked cheap (because it was cheap) so now she has begged for a discount from Howdens. So wasteful! If you wanted that kind of finish why not budget for it in the first place. I know kitchens are expensive, but still, if you are going to do a big renovation like that then surely you think the costings through and budget accordingly. Ugh just comes across as so entitled and up herself.
It’s happened... had a witch fit about the worktop and now Howdens have ‘press discounted’ (whatever that means) her a marble quartz top.

Long time lurker, but wow I'm wound up. I should admit I've done some 'ad' work in the past but it just got tedious and boring and same old bloggers doing same old work and nothing felt authentic and everyone has a new favourite something a week then we never see it again. I found stories today a little condescending, like boo you're poor. I've begged a company for a freebie, they've offered me discount but poor you can't do you that. My partner and I moved into our first home recently and we are struggling even after a few months to have any rooms finished!

Don't beat yourself up at all. We bought our house five years ago and we still have yet to do the lounge... life just gets in the way and it's perfectly fine and liveable, it just would be nice to refresh it.
Maybe if she spent less on brunch she wouldn't have to spend so much time begging.
Completely agree with all the posts here... I really don't understand her logic - you don't want to spend up to £200 on your bridal wedding makeup but you're happy to spend £300-£400 on Jimmy Choo's? I feel like Beth is probably someone who just doesn't have her money priorities right - surely if you're doing a house reno and wedding you should be budgeting for it as much as possible rather than splashing out on Jimmy Choos and brunches every week. I feel like she uses her work as a crutch to then ask companies who are struggling for free / discounted stuff. Lol probably was wanting to have a "HELLO" wedding.

It's incredibly CRINGEY and it baffles me more when it's people who could afford it otherwise. I'm a working Mum and my partner works, don't see us rocking up at Wickes asking for a freebie because I have a few thousand insta followers. How many people are now watching her story and feel inspired to having a kitchen renovation? Probably nobody. Coverage is a new word for slave labour
