Cycling is suggested (only a suggestion but a strong one from the government) to be no further than 10 miles from your home as exercise must be local. 60 miles is taking the piss and defeating the object of lockdown. Good morning i've found my way back to tattle and this page that i commented on before. Someone on here had asked me what do I make of Ben's latest posts and it is very hard to comment on because it is very apparent Ben alters his persona. It is very apparent that Ben will create posts to raise his ego, profile and instagram following but he also posts I believe to provoke the tattle thread on here because he enjoys being talked about, it makes him appear popular, infamous and relevant. In a narcissists mind any publicity is good to raise the infamy and his posts will be aimed at the parson called Lard who Ben will have a severe disliking for.
The backseat was taken because I wished to see how Ben acts without my analysis on him as a person, as his personality is his weakest trait he is seemingly moving onto food, with the focus on making his food look more presentable and he is planning photography of his meals to look pleasing for instagram, that is a way of Ben removing his lack of personality from his posts and of course to gain more following from other avenues of instagram to raise his profile. I have dealt with cases of obsessiveness of social media and I would imagine Ben to spend around 3-4 hours per day scrolling instagram, looking for ideas, competition, threats. He will have the added pressure now of trying to find out which of his followers are on tattle and he will suspect almost everyone of talking behind his back, his posts have a almost reserved nature about them now since becoming infamous on tattle. Ben will wake up daily and think what can he do for a few more likes and will obsess all day over this. It is typical of someone with NCD and a personality disorder like Ben has. That is why I suggested he finds a job and takes a step back from social media as a way of recovering from addiction and curbing his NCD but he has not heeded the advice given and sadly he seems to be a lost cause.
An interesting point is when a instagram friend of Ben's became involved in the slimming world magazine and won a competition. I would suspect that this enraged Ben greatly, all slimming world males and females will be competition to Ben, the narcissism will make him nasty, spiteful and resentful of others, he may appear to be happy at his so called friends accomplishments but deep down he will be very resentful. My ex husband for example was a competitive swimmer among other sports. As a narcissist he was always in competition even with close friends, a friend of his beat him at a gala one summer, myself and my family had to endure weeks of bitterness, resentment and mood swings. He rang his close friend every day as a friend but was incredibly bitter towards him behind closed doors and was horrible to live with during those weeks. Eventually my husband did a very silly challenge where he would swim the perimeter of a coast line because he knew his friend would not be able to compete with that and my husband had to win, it was narcissism and ego making him horrible to live with until he thought he beat his rival. Ben I would imagine to be worse. Slimming world is Ben's passion as is instagram, it is very obvious, he will dislike any male with a bigger following than him and I would imagine he would target them the same way my husband would, if not worse. He will hate and envy any male who appears in a slimming world magazine as Ben will feel angry as to why he is not the cover male, you can see that he feels that he should be a cover model. This is why he will write to as many magazine publications as possible to try and raise his profile, his close friends or instagram friends he will resent if they get more attention than he does, he will actively compete with them, belittle them to make himself look better and will try and outdo their accomplishments.
I would be very careful with Ben as his obsession with himself and becoming a slimming world celebrity will make him a very vindictive person. I read a slimming world magazine where a young man who lost a lot of weight around 16 stone was featured. This would have made Ben very envious, jealous and bitter. However, instagram addicts seem to have this need for attention and to be liked and as much as Ben for example may hate a rival, he will circulate with them and almost cling to them as long as they have a large instagram following, I am reading a lot on this currently. It is very much the school yard mentality of unpopular kids trying to make themselves popular with the in-crowd. So Ben will cosy up to accounts of large followings but will try and extract more followers for himself, he will be very resentful and competitive with these people but will try and hide that by pretending to be their friends. It is very shallow.
I do believe as much as she may encourage Ben, I believe his wife will endure a lot of mental anguish and torture with him, as much as he loves the attention of females I believe Ben will not leave his wife as his narcissistic personality will not wan't her to be potentially happy with another man, what if another man is better than he is? Ben will dislike that. So no doubt Ben will seek out other women to stroke his ego, Ben will do what he likes and his wife will suffer and she will not have any opportunity to meet anyone else.
