She went to the gym in Converse, I can't with her

Also her and Tom are ramming their unbroken down boxes down the recycling shoot at their flat

To be fair a lot of people go to the gym in converse - it’s better for lifting weights. But I haven’t watched it so idk if she was doing weights or cardio

She's not lifting weights, she's on a treadmill

She did a walk and then did some weights, she was on the foot press or whatever it’s called

reminds her of london because of commuters? Sorry what planet is she on, everywhere has commuters… does that mean they’re all like london? Jesus wept

‘Not mad at it though’ she is literally a stuck record!! Girl get some new vocabulary
Does she think cities are a uniquely British thing?

Reminds her of London because of people going to work in the morning...what does she think everyone else in other countries do 😂

She forgot to spell “though” as “tho” to be cool. 😔 I’m pretty sure she said the same thing about her breakfast yesterday - obviously you’re not mad at the breakfast you either chose to make or chose to order, for Christ’s sake. She drives me mad with just repeating the same phrases over and over again - it’s very teenage-like. It’s ‘cause she doesn’t have anything interesting, insightful, or educational to say - but she HAS to say something.

When she said in one of the vlogs that her new job involved early starts I was thinking 5/6am since most cafes in the city open by 7. But leaving for work at 7:30 is very normal for most people 😂

I think she thinks all Australians spend their days sunbathing or surfing at the beach 🙃

she’s so oblivious to the real world, in her new video she was surprised that rentals didn’t include bills 😂😂😂

Also talking about how short term rentals aren't as easy as they're made out to be - I looked into doing a WHV in Australia and everywhere talks about 'short term rentals' in terms of 6 months, not maybe 4 months at a push

My thoughts exactly! The way she described it as a "hidden cost"???

If looking at a rented property I would always assume the price is without bills unless it specifically said "all bills included". Not only does this show how sheltered she is to the real world, for someone who says she was offered a job in social media marketing the other day she sounds very unaware of how marketing works. Properties with bills included would never not specify this since it's such a perk/selling point.

It's a shame her airbnb vacation won't give her some more life experience, she's going to have a shock when she moves out properly and has to set up her own bills.

I thought this too! I don't know why she's so surprised to find that people don't want to lease her a full apartment for 3-4 months.

Another thing I picked up on was her saying it's better to have a car if you live in the suburbs. Lived and knew of several people based in the suburbs when I was there. None of us on the WHV had cars and even some of my Australian friends didn't, because the transport links in the suburbs are as good as the city. Especially in the inner suburbs. You're never far away from a tram stop/train station and the city is a stones throw away from places like South Yarra, Richmond, Prahan (places she never mentioned).

Why doesn't she wait until she's been there for a couple of months and knows more about Melbourne before giving out advice? I just feel like she rushes to advise people based on her experience, but reality is that most backpackers will live in the suburbs if they choose to settle (yes without a car). I feel she often misinforms people with her opinions.

I feel it’s hard to take advice from her when she has a job (her social media) which pays her Plenty anyway, she is in no way in the same position as 99% of backpackers going there to live for a year

In the Q&A vlog she says “we’re both working our ACTUAL jobs, and also cafe jobs”. She really just sees that cafe work as a way to get out of the house. How long before she sacks it off or starts taking sick days? 🤣

Lol at her doing a jump cut when she couldn’t think of any smaller Australian cities.
