The BBC have got previous with edited quotes. During the Sandie Peggie trial tribunal tweets were there so the BBC could have easily either checked or posted a link so people could actually get the truth.
The 'documentary' has been available for five days and only had a few dozen comments (most negative) and a few thousand views. Hidden away on You Tube rather than a BBC channel. Now it's all gone quiet about the documentary because it hasn't had anything like the impact they would have hoped.

It is not the same situation with SB's parents at all. That was known as NOT being where he lived, which has been documented as being abroad. It was known that elderly people lived there and yet they still stalked it and filmed it.

The more I read his thread the more horrified I am with how the BBC presented his story. The guy appeared to be a bit of a Jay from the The Inbetweeners with his stories, one example being all the doctors and nurses who he claimed said his cancer was the worst case they had seen and they needed to go home and have the rest of the day off work. Medical professionals sadly see this stuff day in day out and can't bin work for the day and leave all the other patients, his stories were unbelievable. Not surprised that some questioned if he even had cancer with this and the gofundme's, many did believe he had cancer but was highly embellishing to sell his book. He appears to have a vicious side to him.
All very sad for his family and friends that he died but the BBC were not fair, balanced or impartial with his story. They told the story his wife wanted to tell.

Well maybe people are being critical, maybe people on here are being unkind... neither of which are illegal. but.....maybe people need to own up to their behaviour a bit more, and remember that we all respect honesty and straighforwardness, and most of us are getting ridiculously fed up with being fobbed off, with bad behaviours.
If someone has in all good will donated to the guy who died of bowel cancer, then they shouldnt feel he is scamming them somehow.
and if they do, they have the right to object or say something.
Terminal cancer sufferer has to be 100% a nice and decent bloke we can trust.
despite using the media to fund his lifestyle, seemingly often distorting the truth to do so.
If we are critical of anything, we are the ones at fault, because we are being unkind.
