She is solely a travel presenter, the first BBC R2 had I believe (correct me if I’m wrong), worked with all the big names, Steve Wright, Simon Mayo etc so she’s highly experienced and a legend in her own right to be fair. I really like her.
I like her too, the things people seem to dislike about her I find really funny, she reminds me of my nan. Quite curmudgeonly and can be cutting but you can tell her heart's in the right place
Agreed, her voice evokes memories of trucking out and about with my grandad or dad when I was younger, so she always puts a smile on my face!
Yeah she's good fun. I like her banter with all the presenters on Saturday whenever I listen in. In fact, If I can't be bothered to listen back to the whole show, i will listen back for specifically her parts with the presenters, just to hear the banter, haha. I didn't know her history on the radio. How old do you think she is? I'm guessing mid to late 50s. It's hard to gage via voice, ha.

Wow, I didn't expect her to be late 60s. She sounds younger. Again, it's hard to gage age through the radio though, isn't it.
I remember when they broke the news of Steve's passing and how upset she was delivering the traffic. She said how Steve would hate it, which made her worse bless her.
I don't mind her, but of late she has sounded disinterested and borderline rude at times. That said, she can be quite funny with the right team mate.. her and Rylan are great and Rom is very quick to take the piss, which can be funny
Exactly I don’t give a monkeys how much you love your amazing partner, where you’re travelling to, where you’re going on your hols, what your kids have achieved - it’s not the least bit entertaining and boring beyond belief. Would be good if someone could be genuine for once and say I’m in an unhappy marriage, my kids are people and I can’t afford a mini-break to Cornwall with the Labrador.I last 5 mins this morning te Sara. Sally has great rapport with whoever she works with, you can tell it’s natural like with Romesh you see clips of them almost crying with laughter together

Love Sally, I don't think everyone gets her humour in the tone of her voice. She'll be a great loss when she retires.
I’m not anti-kids and hope to be a Mum one day but my bleeping GOD the kids in the car does my head in. It’s so insipid and middle-class.
I’ve always wondered how the traffic reports are compiled? Like is that what Sally/Kirsten/the unlistenable Ritchie/Ellie are doing in between slots, or do they have a minion that writes it and they just read it? In this day and age there can’t be many people phoning in like the old days.
Someone texted in something rude about Sally during Rylan's show a few weeks ago and he was absolutely apocoleptic and really stuck up for her which I thought was lovely
They quite often mention being tipped off by texts so I think that does still happen but it's probably compiled by junior members of staff lookign at traffic websites etc

He didn't repeat it he just said something like "number ending in whatever who messaged about Sally, I know I rib her a bit but that's all jokey and you're absolutely disgusting" and proper went off on one
