Vicky Hawksworth has now seen off a second co host. You wouldn't want to present with her.
Nat wasn't too bad but her overuse of "hun" got irritating.
Melvin I would expect to move to Radio 2 where he has already been filling in at 10pm for DJ Spoony.
Dean is unsurprising after they hid him on early mornings. Wonder if this will mean less work for Charlie now her co hosts are leaving, didn't mind their morning show.

Charlie will probably do more dance stuff like ariella. Melvin is be used more for Radio 2 fill in work. Dean was moved up the chain far too fast & his stint in the jungle didt show him in a good light. He be back on commercial radio.
It says kicking off with an initial run on 10 September at 1pm for 6 weeks.
Which doesn’t make sense, because Matt & Mollie run Mon-Thurs? So is that being condensed?
Can’t stand Jeremiah. As has been said before, how he can get through life and put one foot in front of the other is amazing. Is either putting on the worlds biggest act or he just doesn’t know anything at all.
Dean saying leaving was his choice. Interesting that they don't thank their boss Aled or mention by name those they worked with. The statement from Nat is very blunt. You'd think she'd mention Vicky.

i can’t believe they’ve kept him. he’s impossible to listen to - i cannot believe a young guy who is in the business he is knows absolutely NOTHING about anything. i’m guessing it is an act but it’s nowhere near as endearing as radio 1 seem to think it is. get rid!
i really like melvin but think he’s a good radio 2 fit tbh.
Unsure how it will work in the live lounge with Jerry not knowing who half the people are?
when he does that awful “who’s in the box” game my mind is constantly blown by how much someone of his age doesn’t know anything about popular culture. he didn’t even know taylor swift fans are called swifties! sir, you work for radio 1! you’re a dj?!?!
the live lounge will just be him being confused by the artists, the cover versions, where he is, what radio 1 is, how to breathe in and out
Sad about Rickie and Melvin, feels like we’re really at an end to the 2010s era of presenters, it’s really only Greg left at Radio 1. I guess Matt and Mollie too but I wouldn’t be surprised if all of them go somewhere else within the next 2-3 years. R1 & R2 seem at a loss of how to stabilise the stations and don’t have enough good talent coming in to replace their losses.
I don’t really listen to r1 anymore, but I did enjoy James Cusack, so sad for him. Rickie and Melvin for r2 drive?!

Nat and her "hun"ning drove me so mad I'm now completely out of the habit of putting R1 on at the weekends in case she was on haha

And I agree re Melv, he's been realy good on Spoony's show from what I've heard
