Dayumn I saw some of that on YT and it was very comprehensive and completely agreed about the BBC being institutionalised and self-serving

Grim. I remember meeting a lot of men with that same attitude when I was very young myself.

Now my daughter's nearly that age, I see quite how disgusting it is.

When people use terms like "very young" this is usually in respect of the victim's status as underage and probably prepubescent. In this case, it is more than apparent that nothing untoward happened between the older man and the younger person and that that person was not "very young" when communications started.

If by "very young", you mean "much younger than perp" then I agree with you. There is a difference between the age-gap concerns and the 'victim' as 'very young', which they were clearly not. What would a 12 year old victim be to you? "Very, very, very young"?
