Does seem to have flown by. Now I'm in my 30s time seems to go so fast. I was once told by elders "enjoy your youth, it goes so fast as you get older" and I didn't believe it. As you do when young, you ignore it, but now I'm older I feel time passing quick haha. How is it almost October?!
I was in the supermarket last night at about 6.30pm, came out after, and it was dark but strangely humid in the carpark. Felt a bit odd.
Bought a winter tog duvet as my summer duvet now too thin. Brushed cotton sheets. I don't want to leave my bed today but alas I have things I should do, but hopefully I can get back in it later to read with a nice cup of tea.
That sounds like Heaven to me, can I come?Oooh! Can I join? We are just about moving into Autumn here. It was 3 degrees this morning and some of the leaves on the birch trees are starting to turn.
It's FINALLY starting to go dark around 10pm.
I love this time of year.
Me too, I have all my wool ready to start a new blanket and I’m so excitedLooking forward to getting my crochet stuff out of hibernation again.
Do it! I will my wreathOk so I was driving home from work today and stopped at traffic lights and there were brown and orange leaves falling across the road in the wind and it was actually magical, if it wasn’t a crime, I’d have taken my phone out and taken a video, it was so nice 🥹
Can I put my autumn decor out tomorrow? Is that weird!!?? I love summer but what is the harm of getting ready to be all nice and cosy
My plan is to do it while my husband is at work then he’ll get home and be like, oh pumpkins. He said OCTOBER to me when I first said I wanted to get the autumn decor out….. 🫠
However the wreath for the door can wait til September 1st because I’m scared of judgement from the neighbours![]()
Or UK youtubers call is fall.I love YouTube this time of year but it drives me nuts when creators say Autumunal rather than Autumnal, there's no extra vowel!![]()
Do/can you bake? Often baking can be a nice and relaxing stress reliever, and it could give you a little focus. Maybe baking some simple Autumn bakes for your son/daughter and husband could be something to take your mind away from the negative things in life at the moment. BBC has some simple recipes, it doesn't need to be anything complicated. Sending positive vibes and hopefully things look up for you soon.Hi Autumn peops. I’m going through a really rough time. My child has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and my husband might have it too (genetic). Plus work is awful and my boss has been vile. I’m signed off sick at the moment. Going to try and find the energy today to cheer myself up and put out my wreath and autumnal decorations.
I went to Salem four years ago in October and it was actually magic! We don't seem to have places like in the USA East Coast where Autumn/Fall is very picturesque. The US is very fortunate in that sense. I regularly hear that Virginia, North and South Carolina and New England have the best autumnviews, but I've never been. I think I need to visit the Eastern states of the USA at some point during fall.
Same. I’m still sweating and I just want cardigans and candles! It doesn’t feel like autumn yet to me, still too hot and humid (at least down south)
Hoping the temperature drops below 20 and the leaves start changing colour soon. Can’t wait for cooler days and cosy nights (especially after this summer!)![]()
