Ok so I was driving home from work today and stopped at traffic lights and there were brown and orange leaves falling across the road in the wind and it was actually magical, if it wasn’t a crime, I’d have taken my phone out and taken a video, it was so nice 🥹

Can I put my autumn decor out tomorrow? Is that weird!!?? I love summer but what is the harm of getting ready to be all nice and cosy 🥰🍁🍂

My plan is to do it while my husband is at work then he’ll get home and be like, oh pumpkins. He said OCTOBER to me when I first said I wanted to get the autumn decor out….. 🫠

However the wreath for the door can wait til September 1st because I’m scared of judgement from the neighbours 😂

I got a new Pumpkin spice diffuser and wax melts from a small business at an event today, they smell divine and it feels so good to support small 🥰🥰 the quality of it seems amazing and I feel like even though small businesses charge a bit more than supermarket/online retailers etc, you can tell the extra bit of care has gone in to it 🥰

Having a cosy evening with Mr CinnamonSwirl and pooch after a long walk today with all the fairy lights on and my new wax melt, then chicken risotto and doughballs for dinner later, with sticky toffee pudding and ice cream for dessert 🙊 if you couldn’t tell my diet is going swimmingly 😂😂

I love this time of year 🐾🍁🍂

Hope youve all had a lovely weekend 🎃

Happy Friday!! How have we done 3 days of October already, time is flying 😦🎃

We’re going to view a litter of puppies tomorrow, we have a dog now and they’re his siblings from a second litter and we can’t wait 🙊

Then because we’re apparently OAPS, we’re very excited to go to the big Sainsbury’s and have a look round, especially the home section 🍁🍂 and get something nice for dinner for when we get home.

Then to top a lovely day off we’re gonna get a Starbucks on the way home and pick our dog up from his play date and chill for the afternoon 🥰☕ Mr CinnamonSwirl is cooking tomorrow too, woohooooo.

Has anyone got any nice Autumnal plans for the rest of the month? We’ve got a pup-kin patch booked for our dog 🎃🐶
We’ve got a pumpkin patch booked for our baby. Then we’re gonna gut one of the pumpkins and stick her in it. 🎃 🤣

I’ve heard that home bargains have their autumn bits in so I’ll be going there tomorrow for a browse. I’m having an autumn baby (due 1st October) so I’m excited to be cosy with a candle and my newborn 👶🏻

I'm not gonna lie, I will miss the early morning sunrise at 4:30-5am. The dark mornings mess me up. As long as we get plenty of sunny days during Autumn, I'm content.

So happy it's getting darker and cooler. Still too hot for me (menopause) so still using fans. I do think it will be a warm September this year due to how long the previous Winter lasted.Glad to see the people moaning about the autumnal weather already on threads 😍 and yes,I probably will moan about the weather when it's still Winter conditions in Spring but 🤷 .Some of us don't like being hot, deal with it. It is cosy, days are shorter,no screaming kids in and out my garden, can start getting out walking again, eat proper nutritional food and enjoy it,without sweating cooking it,and then not wanting to eat it.

I love autumn but I always feel like I really want a Hallmark movie style autumn and I have never get that. I guess its kind of like Christmas as a an adult where you are forever chasing that nostalgia you had as a kid.
I do love summer but I always struggle with the hot nights. Hot days with rainy nights are my ideal.

This morning I was actually cold getting out of bed. It was lovely. I do love the summer but I always struggle with hot nights as I like to get cosy in bed. Looks to be another heatwave here over the weekend and next week though!

I feel like you all are like my diary at this point 😂

Dear Tattle,

Finished my second book in about two months (more then I’ve read in the last two years 😂)

I’ve read The Cinnamon bun book store which was ok but seems very similar to the other books I’ve read from the series and a bit graphic for me when I just want a cosy read 🤣 Then just finished today Escape to Pumpkin Cottage which was lovely and so cosy, even had a few cliffhangers and twists in. I read it in about three days!

We’ve got a trip to Wales booked soon ahead of the arrival of our second puppy 🙊 I bought another book called Poles Apart by the same author as Pumpkin cottage for the holiday as it was such a good read. Hoping for some nice crispy weather for some lovely walks while we’re there.

We’ll have a lovely walk tomorrow as we do at weekends and I’m hoping for some orange crunchy leaves 🍁🍂 and of course my 79th Pumpkin Spice Latte on the way home 😂

What has everyone got planned for the weekend? Also any book and film recommendations would be great 🥰

Hi everyone, glad to find this thread. I love Autumn 🍁🍂 I know not everyone’s a fan, but I’m looking forward to Starbucks bringing back their pumpkin spiced lattes tomorrow.

I'm struggling with it this year, I lost my mum unexpectedly in December and we loved shopping for Autumn and Christmas and it just makes me sad thinking about being excited for it.

I am also loving the darker nights, had my candles lit and it felt so cosy. My daughter decorated her bedroom yesterday with some nice little autumn bits from Poundland! Even her guinea pigs have pumpkin decorations in their enclosure ha ha . I am desperate to get my decor out but waiting till hubby goes away as then can enjoy it without him moaning. Anyone else looking forward to the new practical magic coming out?

It’s a lot of bakeware so I can use it all year round!
Never feel like you have to justify your Autumn purchases to us in this thread!! 😂🍁🍂

I am so excited for Autumn walks 😁 Autumn baking, mulled cider, all my candles and wax melts, slow cooker food and filling the house with the smell of roast dinners 😌
