Those old modelling shots of Emma are wild- quite a change of lifestyle for her from fashion model to hippie mother-of-many. I just cannot believe she chose to have zero scans or check ups or ANYTHING during her last pregnancy and had no idea it was twins. Absolutely crazy considering how accessible healthcare is here. Surely you would want peace of mind that your baby is healthy and developing properly during your pregnancy?

Yeah Laura’s stories were embarrassing. If his post was “satire” then it was satire done really poorly and he needs to get better at his “job”.

Also, nowhere in his comments has he said it was satire or that he’s trying to make fun of those kinds of men. He’s liking comments and thanking people who are saying ‘that’s what it’s like at my house and I think it’s funny.. I can’t believe you Karen’s are offended etc etc’. Completely contradicts what Laura was trying to claim.

@therealsmilf pointed out Laura did a podcast episode on weaponised incompetence as below, so what the duck Laura!?

There is chat about this on the podcast thread and the Clem Ford thread and as I mentioned on one of those, it’s not satire if that’s literally your reality - his mum is there because he can’t cope on his own.

No shame in asking for help but their positioning and response to this is so embarrassing.

I think this is a really good point about the Matty J and Laura situation. They don’t give a tit what their followers who make them money think. I used to like them but they’ve lost me over this. He could have addressed the reel by saying look I’m listening and won’t make content like that in future but they ignored it and mocked everyone’s comments until someone with a following like Clem said something. And even now they’re doubling down.

100%. An actual apology would have avoided so much of this mess. The mock apology was more of a kick in the teeth, and then to repost it in response to Clem. There is a lot of their genuine followers calling it out very respectfully in the Life Uncut Podcast facebook group, it’s not just ‘trolls’ that aren’t happy. I am one of those genuine followers.
I have noticed the change in Matty J since the podcast, I tuned out, I’m no prude but the swearing and conversation with jampikelets (or whatever his name is alwasy so crass, followers actually asked them to stop swearing it was that bad.

After reading everyone's comments on this and Clem's response - I now totally understand the side about why his reel was problematic. I stupidly skimmed over it at the start, but yes, since he linked up with Jam Pikelets his content has totally changed

One thing I've considered as well which makes the whole situation worse is that Laura always preaches about how he is an amazing dad and does his share of parenting ... so her thinking this is funny and a lighthearted satire joke is actually quite hurtful to the mums out there that maybe don't have as much support as she claims to have! Very smug reaction from her but I wouldn't really expect anything less - find her very overbearing and rude and never understood the appeal.
She's also getting worse as her jewelry brand and life uncut get bigger.

I didn't follow him pre his podcast with Ash, but I just get such desperate vibes off him. Like he is desperate to be liked and get more "famous" etc.

I won’t watch her response because I can’t possibly roll my eyes back any further in my head (and full disclosure: I don’t follow either of them) but I find the bar is so depressingly low for men when it comes to parenting - he should share the parenting load because he is also their parent. What a shocking concept to grasp!

There is money in them as a couple from a brand perspective so she’s going to gush about what a wonderful father he is whether it’s true or not. Maybe he is, or maybe he’s just doing what I would expect of a father of two.

The one about adhd and NDIS is a bit ducked and the comments are really scathing. As a late diagnosed adhd woman I am glad to see people calling it out. If you are a clever comedic duo you can make fun of adhd in other ways that are clever and compassionate. I hate how ppl say comedy is dead. It isn’t, clever comedy still exists, we just have this lazy tit like Matty J
