This was ages ago, but she asked for suggestions or what content/themes people prefer. I wrote that my absolute favourites were hair/beauty/nail salon roleplays but that I pretty much enjoy ANYTHING she does apart from medical ones, and that it's medical asmr in general and not just her. I even said a bunch of other (genuine) compliments about her vids in case it sounded like it was aimed at her personally. I got this snippy reply back like "thanks, BUT...." about how medical roleplays are her most popular so she's always gonna do them regardless, like okay but.... you asked what content we liked?....

Those are the type I've seen too! Whilst I was following her on Instagram about a year ago she had asked for suggestions to improve her videos and when someone suggested a green screen for backgrounds, she posted the comment on her stories with a scathing response that her followers don't want to see that, and implied that she works harder than ASMRtists that used those. I'm sure she'll think we are "trolls" for pointing this out but I think its a bit mean to have that reaction to people who watch her videos and aren't trying to upset her, and in many cases are just responding to what she has asked

It really confuses me when BBBY does adverts in her normal speaking voice. She’s local to me and has such a broad accent I did realise until I heard her on an insta story about a year or so ago

I think she’s local to me too - to me she has a strong ‘brummy’ (NOT Black Country! ) accent but when someone said that to her in a comment a while back she wasn’t happy and said she wasn’t a brummie etc. she might not be but she defo sounds like one!

Agreed- I am loving Korean asmr and lofi lately.

Has anyone else noticed how openly transphobic and combative Karuna is on her Twitter? Which, no surprise, but what does surprise me is how none of the other ASMRtists are saying anything. They all put on this front of being such inclusive loving people who care but when it comes to Karuna they go:

Leaving it alone for a while and a nice stretched root would do her wonders.

I’ve a similar complexion to her and when my hair was that colour it did nothing for me!

I really like ShilliTV! Same for ASMR Twix (I think I like her videos a tad more even), simply because the treatments are nice to look at, interesting and different. I'd pay good money to go to a "head spa", but they simply don't exist here

THIS. I cannot watch an asmrtist if their hands are gross. Something about nicely manicured hands feels comforting. I get that nail biting is common but sadly I just cannot stand ripped up fingers "touching" me

Especially during spa and medical videos when cleanliness should be the priority. I can’t watch or the entire time I’m thinking about germs.

I find some ASMR artists, once they start to become popular, they either start trying to monetise everything or they become overly sexual with the content. I used to love ASMR Char, she has an amazing voice, now she concentrates on only fans, because sex sells. The smaller accounts tend to remain true to ASMR rather than selling out

Creative Calm and Scottish Murmurs are very guilty of this imo. Both of them constantly posting overly provocative and suggestive titles and thumbnails. It's embarrassing to see talented creator's go down the hyper sexualised route.

Coming back for one more point:
BBBY had this grand freak out/mental breakdown about reading a blog of like 10 ppl max saying criticism. When she cancelled Starling it was hundreds. When she cancelled Crinkleluvin it was hundreds of thousands. If she can't handle 10 PEOPLE she needs to get off the internet.

I'm heated because I HAVE BPD and I get TREATED FOR IT (she admits she does not). She's using her bpd as an excuse for her bad behavior. STOP MAKING US LOOK BAD!! LOL I saw this earlier and was going to go back and screenshot. The BPD stuff is really upsetting. My sister went through years of CBT and DBT for BPD and has worked really hard to keep it in check like, you don't have to let it define you and it isn't a valid excuse for every bad behavior, I'm sorry. You can have mental health issues and still be held accountable. There are so many resources for personality disorders.

Why bother engaging with trolls and letting yourself get stressed and wound up in knots. Just accept it comes with the territory of being in a public platform and ignore. Interacting with them and showing them you're upset only fuels them to spout more poison.

I think the troll engagement is really just a means for attention. Why else keep complaining instead of turning off comments or even adjusting your chat filters?

So I’m here to eat my words, a while ago I made a quip about Trisha Paytas doing ASMR. However curiosity got the better of me and I must admit she’s quite good.

For me, at the moment I'm really into Be Brave Be You, Victoria Sprigg, ASMR Beauty (she seems like the loveliest person!) and Mad P ASMR.

I've really gone off Scottish Murmurs and Creative Calm - I don't understand why they feel the need to have their b00bs popping out in every single video.

Love ASMR! ItsBlitzzz is a fave of mine - I rewatch her videos all the time, always like the aftercare at the end with a drink and snack for her participant (although my god she knows some beautiful women - surely they are all models?!)

WhispersRed too although I'm not a fan of role-play ASMR which she does a lot more of nowadays. She has a lovely calming voice though and one of the hair videos with her cousin (Nicole?) must be my most watched video on YouTube

PsycheTruth is another one I watch a lot of but they do a lot of member only content now on YouTube - must be a new feature as they just used to promote their Patreon. I also find sometimes their videos can be quite sexual but I think a lot of people commented on this and they've toned it down a bit in general but the odd one slips through and I'm just a bit

She has some great videos, that I can give her credit for, but she is terrible for controversies and some strange behavioral habits which is why I can't subscribe and actively support her.

I've liked some of Karuna's stuff but she seems like a really unpleasant person and the way she came for Mary SouthernASMR Sounds over the BLM thing was totally WTF.

I still subscribe to loads of ASMRtists but I need to have a clear out as it's become so huge now and most of the bigger channels have gotten formulaic and dull. I'll still stick with Maria Gentlewhispering as she still does the odd great video and I've always liked WhispersRed. I currently am really into a few: Anna ASMR as she's got a lovely soft-spoken style and I like her monthly horoscopes. Latte is great of course, as is Soy. JubileeWhispers does a lot of video game play stuff which isn't really my thing but her voice is great and she's sweet. ASMRvelous seems like a bit of an odd fish but I like her style, her tattoo tour is one of my favourites. Phonecian Sailor has great, cinematic stuff which he clearly puts a lot of thought into, plus he's not bad to look at either. Gloss & Tingles, a British girl, it's mostly make-up and skincare based but she's like a ray of sunshine. I love Angelica as her stuff is bonkers, although I wish her videos were a bit longer. BlackMaleASMR has a great voice and has recently started posting more again. SoftASMR is generally pretty consistent and I love her true crime stuff. Amuse ASMR is brilliant if you just want a lovely, relaxing voice and chill content. And of course the amazing and hilarious AmalZD.
