just curious if this is something anyone else noticed but I think for a lot of ASMRtists having nicely Manicured clean hands also makes a difference? I’ve been finding some recently who clearly bite their nails and when they do things like face touching it really grosses me out. Is this a thing for anyone else??

THIS. I cannot watch an asmrtist if their hands are gross. Something about nicely manicured hands feels comforting. I get that nail biting is common but sadly I just cannot stand ripped up fingers "touching" me

I really like Be Brave Be You ASMR but I don’t understand why she is still being gifted a glossy box every month. She either can’t pronounce any of the product names or ingredients correctly- Batiste dry shampoo comes to mind, doesn’t know what the products are for or says she’s totally unimpressed by the contents of the box. Why not say thanks but no thanks if they’re that bad?

I love how blitzzz and nick are suddenly engaged after people were saying how weird their relationship is on reddit. she definitely reads here and reddit, she mentioned that she wanted to "address things" and there are people who get her so wrong on "weird little forums" (here), and reddit. when I saw that post about her cat on reddit I checked her YouTube and she said all this and that she was starting daily vlogs wonder how that went.... she should just do asmr again.

i suspect she stopped doing asmr when the attention went from her (personally) to her asmr (her creation) - she gives me major narc vibes and her channel before ASMR was v self indulgent, she hadn't deleted these and was also vvvv messy on insta (she blocked me so idk what she's like on there now) which was so at odds with the calming person she was in her asmr vids. therefore i reckon the asmr itself got "too big" for her and she couldn't do it any more as the focus wasn't on her and who she actually is (messy, needy, buy buy buy)

Recently I've been watching ASMR Barber Lady, (a group of female barbers carrying out asmr massages), their content is so relaxing, the only issue is the need for either the masseur or client to be dressed provocatively, it detracts from their amazing skills, just encouraging the sleazy comments. I often wonder if many creators do this because they know it's easier to manipulate perverts into contributing financially, sadly sex sells, but it also devalues the ASMR and the talent so many contributors have.

I’m happy for her but hate how she has to make a dig at women needing to support women, I hate that this is never said about men

The people who tend to go on about women supporting women, are people who only support themselves and do very little for others, it's just their way of trying to be superior. I'm happy to support anyone who deserves it, man or woman, but not someone who feels entitled because of who they are. I'm genuinely happy for her, but Other than her ASMR I really don't like her

She's both angry and entitled. She has absolutely no concept of accepting constructive feedback, it's embarrassing how quickly she snaps.

I watched her video after reading your comment and I am sure it's scary but Jesus Christ. She was making these statements like she crushed half her brain, "tell the people you love you love them, life can change in an instant, nick is so supportive during this time."

I have always got quite an attention seeking vibe from her. I don't question that something happened, but I do question whether we were given facts or slightly embellished details to create drama. There's something very off about her. I remember when she posted videos with her friend who was about to go to prison, for some kind of financial crime he had been involved in. whilst I appreciate he's her friend, he played his part in the crime and was found guilty, those crimes resulted in victims. Regardless of the crime, It annoyed me that she was asking people to send him things. I know lots of people befriend prisoners but she did try to portray him as a victim and seemed to forget about those affected by his crime

Karuna is still uploading but she also mentioned in one of her latest videos that her and her husband have split.

Another channel that I watch sometimes is WhisperAudios and she become more, sensual? Sexy in a bond lady way instead of trashy. That kind doesn't bother me.

I guess it depends on your definition of classy. Raw cleavage and 'mouth sounds' (use your imagination as to what they sound like) don't seem too classy to me. Almost one year ago exactly, she was mocking some (rude and stupid) man who emailed her to suggest she do girlfriend roleplays and sex it up in her vids, giggling with all her followers about such gross ideas... just recently she put out a Patreon vid as a wife welcoming her husband home in a boobie shirt. And now the people going 'wait a moment luv' are the ones getting dragged. Most of her fans are respectful and encouraging but she seems to take that one bad comment out of a hundred personally and go looking for head-pats.

I say this as a longtime fan too, and I know she's gotta make money to cover the atrocious price surges over there. There are definite signs that she's not really enjoying this new direction, like with the things she's retweeting. If I had a magic lamp i'd wish for her to find a million pounds and not have to make any content she doesn't want.

On a positive note, I really like SemideCoco's channel, she has such a warm personality and her videos are very relaxing!

Did it really annoy anyone else that Itsblizz's latest video was talking about basically just ignoring any changes in your body and assumign your body knows best? In the week that Bowelbabe died of cancer (I assume she has no idea who she is but it just occurred to me) but listening to your body and changes, not just assuming everything is normal, is KEY in early detection of things like cancer.

I went off Maria at Gentle Whispering. I really love ASMR Angel. Charlotte is her real name. Great sense of humour and really puts in the hardwork without going overboard. I hate tapping. Too many artists tap everything. Also, without intentionally causing ASMR, I also follow Yanghaiyang. Such a lovely lady.

The attention seeking is ridiculous

It seems to be a pattern among ASMRtists particularly on twitter. I get the idea many of them never learned healthy ways to ask for attention or even how to self soothe. BBBY was also attention seeking on twitter the other day.

She was on This Morning a few years back explaining ASMR and they used the clips on Gogglebox and they were all quite nasty about it/her and it really upset her. They even were tagging her on Twitter.

i dont like blitz ever since her gender reveal video where she apologised for her daughters existence to nick. imagine being their daughter and seeing that video. for your dad be so unhappy that you're female (classic) to the point your own mother apologises for it... it utterly disgusts me. with the hatred of women and girls on the rise as it is and the millions of gender reveal videos of men being aggressive and even violent over learning they're having a girl ... d i s g u s t i n g.

Oh, they expect something alright. They think they can strategically give money when the content is a little bit sultry to convince the girl to go further, sort of Pavlov's dog type conditioning. On the other hand, these gals are using sultry looks to convince men to part with their money, so it's a bit of a merry-go-round of manipulation.

Yeah I have noticed this a lot, more in the last couple years especially with ASMR streamer girls. I expect it from Twitch at this point but it is extra sad seeing it from ASMR Youtubers. I think that the worst IMO lately is seeing them pushing their throne lists on twitter. It feels like exploitation all the way around.
