I'm not sure if I know what you mean by the tongue clicking (though I'm sure I'd recognise it if I heard it because I watch way more ASMR than I should!) but something I've noticed becoming really popular is 'TikTok ASMR' for lack of a better term. Usually really fast paced with aggressive tapping on things accompanied by what I can only describe as a stage whisper. It's so chaotic, unrelaxing and untingly, and it's everywhere.

The trend that really irks me is labelling something as unintentional ASMR when it really isn't... also I don't really understand when people call it 'intentional unintentional ASMR' surely that's just normal ASMR?!

I like Makayla. Her, Jas, Lizi, Starling and Gibi are my favorites. They present themselves very professionally and are really good at ASMR.

just curious if this is something anyone else noticed but I think for a lot of ASMRtists having nicely Manicured clean hands also makes a difference? I’ve been finding some recently who clearly bite their nails and when they do things like face touching it really grosses me out. Is this a thing for anyone else??

She's seems chronically bored and unhappy and all over the place. and honestly when she would bring in semi or famous people to do asmr on I was like .... ugh. I loved her role plays but her personality online takes me out of it.

I really like Be Brave Be You ASMR but I don’t understand why she is still being gifted a glossy box every month. She either can’t pronounce any of the product names or ingredients correctly- Batiste dry shampoo comes to mind, doesn’t know what the products are for or says she’s totally unimpressed by the contents of the box. Why not say thanks but no thanks if they’re that bad?

I have ruined myself with ASMR I first discovered it by accident about 8 years ago while looking for massage tutorials.

My OG is asmrmassage. Nothing fancy, very lo-fi, but she makes my spine melt. Definitely one of my go-tos.

I also have soft spots for GentleWhispering (her recent visual stuff has me drooling), Kaya ASMR, Gracev, and used to really enjoy HaleyWhisperingRose, ridiculous as she was.

Oh, and LoveTodayASMR. Her back scratching one is divine.

Alright - I'm back. Took a little break but it seems Nicola stays as consistent as ever. Guys I cannot tell you how much I believe this woman to be an absolute shit sack of a human being. Firstly the Johnny Depp thing is really odd - I understand weird and overly familiar fans but she acts like she knows these people? She is very clearly not an intelligent woman but has an astounding lack of self awareness about how she comes off?
I don't want to make excuses for her but perhaps her being on the spectrum causes her to miss these kinds of social cues - however she is increasingly combative whenever anyone brings any point of discussion towards her that may be related to these issues.

Her vid regarding here was hilarious, strongly recommend - she literally read everything and went to her youtube to complain about "no other youtuber receiving as much hate as she does" HAHA - you heard of Logan Paul, doll? The Ingham Family? Get a grip you soft bellend.

I think BBBY and a lot of the others lie a lot about receiving nasty messages/ being trolled. It simply a scam to make people feel sorry for them, therefore fuelling more likes and more gifts.

I agree. Brave has posted screenshots of her nasty comments and it’s always someone who is offering some criticism which she takes as rudeness and trolling. I’m sure it’s the same for many others as well. Actually i hadn’t even thought of that in regards to Laura but maybe you’re on to something. Has this gotten worse since this throne service where people can receive gifts came out?

Definitely a very different person to a few years ago,I used to love her content. It disgusts me that she uses mental health,her relationship breakdown and her kids as excuses for not working and begging her followers. She raised a significant amount of money to build her studio,more than double she actually needed. Its almost as if she sees her you tube followers as a personal cash machine, rather than getting a job to pay for things. I wonder if any of the money is declared

I think twitter has played into this also. I follow a few ASMRtists on there so I also see tweets they interact with and many seem to encourage each other to post or create OF or Fanhouse accounts to post pics.

I loved ASMR for years but only recently discovered a channel called ASMR Twix. She mainly visits spas and gets treatments there (all in Japan). I don't speak a word of Japanese, but it's all very pretty and relaxing.
If there are similar channels, would love some recommendations. I don't like it if they over-emphasize the ASMR-y part though if that makes sense?

I found BBBY around a year ago and I do think she is very good and has a technic that works, well for me anyway. However, I have noticed she’s abrasive and almost comes across as narcissistic in her comments when replying.

I’ve been seeing her go on and on that she’s being trolled this past year but could never figure out by whom. There were never any visible comments in her feed. To me trolling is actively messaging a person with insults. Not looking for posts about yourself on tattle.

So it appears it is tattle that’s causing her the issue then, which figures and ties in with the aforementioned identified narcissism. Opinions are not trolling Nicola.

Her trolls are anyone who dare criticize or disagree with her. I find it interesting that she is dying for recognition and fame. She got herself verified on Facebook and made herself an IMDB page but people actually criticizing her.... now she's being bullied.

Also I agree that she needs her own thread.
