Does anyone else like asmr be brave be you used to like her roleplays but recently find her odd to watch on her instagram shes gone on a whole rant about her neighbours dogs and told her neighbours life story saying her dogs are so anoyying and her neighbour has no control over them and why dont she tell them to shut up how her neighbour has her mum living there and that the mum has a summer house and its werid how the mum lives with her daughter like is there any need really? She seems like a major hypochondriac seems to have every health problem going not dismissing her health but seems like everything wrong with someone she seems to have she just comes across as not a very nice person more you look into her she also seems to have had quite a lot of drama for someone with not a huge subscriber count compared to other artist anyone else have their thoughts on her?

For anyone who was a fan of she who must not be named (itsblitzz)'s ASMR but not her shenanigans, xokatie ASMR came up on my homepage yesterday and she does lots of hair play/back scratching. I only watched half of her most recent video but she has the same low production/natural type of style as julia's asmr and I imagine she's considerably less damaging

Creative Calm and Scottish Murmurs are very guilty of this imo. Both of them constantly posting overly provocative and suggestive titles and thumbnails. It's embarrassing to see talented creator's go down the hyper sexualised route.

I cannot watch Scottish Murmurs anymore, her recent videos have become so cringey to watch.

Yeah, it's grim. I misunderstood the bit about the job, seems the hotel job was legit (although still exploitative as they basically took half their wage for shitty, overcrowded accommodation in a way they wouldn't be able to do with locals) but she couldn't work due to an injury. But the airport guy was definitely a plant and it sounds like even the travel agency in Russia was up to their necks in it! You wonder how many girls ended up falling for the same shit and ended up doing sex work. In a sense she's lucky that she found her friend at the airport as I imagine the pressure on either girl would have been ramped way up had they been alone with this guy.

Theres a good discussion about blitzzz on the asmr reddit under her Phoebe Bridgers interview. everyone was really respectful and thoughtful about how they discussed their issues with her channel and I guess blitzzz looks herself up... bc she saw it and took to instagram of course!

It's more than that now, yes. Broadly anti-trans now. Before it was just about wanting to play a game (pretty harmless at that time imo) but its evolved into hate. Rapunzel ASMR is jumping in as well, didn't realize she was anti-trans too. Doubt she'll see backlash from this though because I believe you're right, everyone is too scared of being bullied by her to step in

She's also blocking anyone and everyone who even vaguely disagrees with her she decided to take a stand on an extremely sensitive issue... tbh I think she wants the heat & the drama.

Omg, Rapunzel's always been a racist (her vlog channel was full of anti-Blackness and xenophobic garbage about immigrants) but she's really doubled down with this, yikes. People kinda tore into her for her Pepe the Frog ASMR over on the ASMR subreddit, which is how I learned who tf she was in the first place. Nasty asses.

I agree with all the above, followed her on Instagram for a while but had to unfollow due to the unnecessary amount of selfies. I have seen some of her replies to comments on Youtube too and she often comes off as quite rude. She can't take any form of constructive criticism and I've even seen her reply rudely to some comments which are completely complimenting her - one example I can I think of was mentioned in here previously that there was a comment on one of her non ASMR videos that she has a lovely accent, and she responded curtly that "I don't have an accent." even though she clearly has a Wolverhampton/West Mids accent! Her ASMR vids are great but she doesn't seem very humble/approachable

She also gave me mega not like other girls vibes when she said she was probably the ONLY girl in LA who wasn't into astrology. Eyeroll

Oh my lord. I'm a longtime lurker who's been reading this thread religiously and I finally decided to sign up after seeing this latest Minx foolishness. The number of people I've seen who try to demand that others give verbal or written credit for (checks notes) a sound that literally anyone can produce is far too much (see: Miss Manganese / spit painting).

Also, does anyone else think there is some strange stuff going on with ASMRVilla? I've been watching her since 2015 and she has always been very...heavily Christian in her undertones, used a board game called "Secret Hitler" (wtf) as a trigger, and caused a flap in '20 when she went around tapping on things in a doctor's office with her bare hands (but deleted and posted an apology video instead). There's also the "very important story" (or however she titled it) where she talks about how Egyptian men -- including her former next door neighbor -- get away with DV...and now fast forward to 2022 where she has an Egyptian boyfriend, whose face she's openly posted twice while she still refuses to show her own (also apparently the reason for her fake British accent).

Oh, there's more I could get into as well (I've seen some drama with that Just an Ordinary YouTube Channel account who goes around requesting glove sound videos and shoutouts from many new and small ASMRtists) but this is already growing into a novel. I don't want to sound mean-spirited but for a community that's supposedly dedicated to helping people relax...we can certainly bring the drama.

Crush on 9 and ASMR Violet, though. My brain fizzes, especially at Crush's public ASMRs -- his latest at the beach was heaven. It's also fabulous to see KittyDish still putting out videos, I love her tapping so much!

BBBY had this grand freak out/mental breakdown about reading a blog of like 10 ppl max saying criticism. When she cancelled Starling it was hundreds. When she cancelled Crinkleluvin it was hundreds of thousands. If she can't handle 10 PEOPLE she needs to get off the internet.

She got to the volume of people she did about crinkle because she had enlisted Karuna’s help. It looked like Karuna was madderthan she was. Imagine if the tables were turned and Karuna had a go at Brave.

You're not alone. Her comments sections have absolutely gone to pot, used to be a mix of men and women leaving nice comments, now it's just the dregs of horny YT men offering her a herd of camels for her hand in marriage. She also has a moderator who deletes the 'rude' comments which are mostly just people expressing their dissatisfaction. I've said my piece on it earlier, but it's not even bumping up her YT views by much, if anything.

I'm close to unscribing which is a shame cause when her content is good it's amazing. I've unscribed from a few this month because of the same reason. One I really hope doesn't go the same way is Sarah Lavender I love her content.

IMHO it's always worth discussing because it's the biggest issue facing ASMR right now. It feels like the whole 'thing' is in a slump, and all these girls are trying to either jumpstart a new channel or boost their old one by being more suggestive. I think the biggest problem isn't even the content, but how it's so blatantly a money-grab scheme, especially when it's paired with a Throne list, as mentioned before. Plus watching people who were openly against sexualizing ASMR suddenly have a 'sexual awakening', no doubt to the soundtrack of cash registers clanging.

And the saddest thing? It isn't even necessary. There's still lots of good channels that do very well on views and subscribers without any of this 'tug my shirt lower and lean forward nonsense' (a bunch of them have already been recommended in this thread). And yes, sorry, I'm on my boolsheet again but I checked WhisperAudios channel as an example, and her boobie-licious Monthly Faves vids do as well as her Vampire roleplays with no cleavage (about 30k views average for each) and both of them are blown away by her hand-exam vid which pulled in 170k views! And she's wearing a very loose, billowy shirt in that, and most of the time all we see is the hands anyways! It's just that you have to be good now, instead of randomly rattling fake nails against your eyeglasses case while chewing gum.

Okay I think that’s a really good point: “it’s just that you have to be good now, instead of randomly rattling fake nails against your eyeglasses case while chewing gum.” The standard for good ASMR has raised and some people understand it, how to trigger it, and a lot of people don’t and think it’s about just the sounds or what so many others are doing who also probably don’t get it. And a lot of those people don’t understand why their views dropped and have decided they need to sexualize their content to get their views back. And then they just become this sexual novelty to a bunch of creeps instead of delivering actual ASMR. That’s one thing I have to hand to Valeriya ASMR. She’s always been sexual but her ASMR skills were also always strong. But the rest of these girls just seem to only know how to simulate BJ’s on a mic and it’s killing the credibility of all ASMR.

She once sent her flying monkeys to my IG page because I said it was harmful for her to say things like 'you don't need medication to get out of depression' as a non-medical professional, especially when drugs for mental health are still stigmatised. She basically acted like I personally told her that her journey wasn't valid, instead of rationally understanding that blanket statements when you have a large platform are dangerous. Glad to see she's still being a whiny bitch though. She can cry her tears into her multiple mortgages now that she's fulfilled her dream about being a landlord or whatever.

There's someone on that reddit thread defending her saying it's "out of context " someone else posted the whole thing and it doesn't look any better with the context anyway I get being a new mum must be difficult but she doesn't have a job, can spend as much time as she wants at home doing whatever, has family support. I don't get how having cats can be so difficult she seemingly resents them, especially as she clearly has the money for vet bills etc

Did she ever reveal where she bought their second home? I saw briefly that she bought a horse for her hobby so it doesn't look like she'll be leaving LA any time soon. Her preaching of minimalism and simplicity is such an LA BS thing. Cutting fresh fruit and making your bed for a monetized video so you can pay for your boob job and call yourself sustainable is really something.
