What is the bike ride for? Is it to raise more money or just to spread the word and raise awareness of the charity?

Tbh it is very generalising to say what was said.Just because it doesn’t offend you it does myself and others. Also it seems to me this conversation will not end until the person that disagrees with the statement backs down. As I feel that is the real reason for any debate again. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️
There was no generalisation. Quote what you found offensive, try and explain why or leave it and carry on going through all my posts pressing on the sick emoji which you 've been doing since yesterday since I said the Cains shouldn't feel guilty over their baby 's cancer diagnosis 🤷

Coming from someone who has several family members with learning difficulties, i don't see anything wrong here. Sometimes they don't understand things, its really not that deep. Can we move on

yeah same here I just cannot see what was offensive about that post, I have two close family members with moderate learning difficulties, one of whom sets up tonnes of fan accounts for celebrities like Selena Gomez and once nearly got groomed by someone pretending to be Justin Beiber online, bless her, setting up those azaylea accounts is exactly the kind of thing she would do, I would hazard a guess that some of these azaylea tribute accounts have indeed been set up by people with some kind of learning difficulty or other vulnerability
Anyway moving on, is anyone else expecting a split up announcement very soon?

More begging
This doesn’t sit well with me, just google it and pay for it like everyone else, don’t beg for freebies and don’t tag the foundation that you’ve made in honour of your daughter to really pull people into it

Jesus he’s not the only person to have ever rode this journey many many people have done so for charity or pleasure. Pretty sure he can afford a massage if he’s so desperate for one or use his gifted massage tools fgs! enrages me all this bloody begging under the guise of wanting help finding something.

I know of a very good one near Tiverton but they won’t give away a few freebies!!! They have a waiting list and I doubt they would be happy!

Spot on if his given a one for free he should actually put in to the fund what it would’ve cost

Are they going to raise more than it’s costing them? Or are they relying on people feeding them and putting them in hotels for free?

They will have rode over 1000 miles which, what ever we think of his behaviour towards S, it is an achievement so I don't think she should ride over the finish line with them. However it would be nice if she was there at the finish to greet them & would be nice if he acknowledged she was there
More begging
the wording of it too, like they can’t continue doing good for charity unless someone gives them a freebie.
They did it with meals from the start too. The first place that gave them free food, made a big deal of it so now all the other places will feel obliged to.

its very cleverly done to the point where people will feel guilty saying no or charging
who Is the women that’s cycling with them?

I think it's for both. Saf goes with buckets and they get people to donate through the website or the gofundme...

That’s a good question. I know people who did the same challenge to raise money for a friend with cancer and they did maximum riding per day a) to make it a tougher challenge and raise more cash and b) to cut down on costs - fewer nights in hotels, food, etc as possible. They cycled pretty much 11-12 hours a day.

Ashley and co do seem to be doing anything like that at the moment. It’s day 3 and they’re still not going to be out of Devon, so they must be looking at at least 3 weeks to finish. Don’t get me wrong, that’s still a bit endurance challenge but it’s going to cost them quite a bit.

The headland hotel costs on average £250 per night per room so 3 rooms would’ve been £750 then safiyas and Danny’s spa £300 for two people ! Their meals the night before was probably around £300 maybe more as Ashley ate in Rick Steins! So day one was around £1400 that’s just for what I’ve notes there! Are they going to get gifted on average of £1k worth of hotels and food a day over the 14 days ??

What exactly had the foundation got to do with sports massages? Ridiculous. Who is advising them?

The most sensible thing would be to use the over £1million they've got sat in the gofundme. Show us where it's going, start a project, find a family desperately in need and start donating. You've got plenty there to make a difference. Why start collecting more before even spending a penny of the huge amount you've got? Ashley seems obsessed with the attention and making himself feel better via exercise. But I don't think they should keep begging for more money from donors just yet.

I thought the same as to why they’re still taking donations. They’ve raised well over a million pound on the go fund me. Surely the bike ride should just be to raise awareness of the charity? Obviously then do fund raising down the line but I find it all a bit greedy to still be collecting money when they’ve well over a mill already. There are many local family run charities in my town that would do anything for 1 million £!

The foundation's website is lacking any meat to say the least. I know it says that the full website launches in 27 days but why accept more donations before it's launched and before you can explain detailed research to people? I must do more research to find out who's managing this thing behind the scenes because it's all been extremely rushed.

They are doing about 4-5 hours and 50-60 miles a day at the minute from what I’ve seen

Why do they need to stay in such up market hotels anyway? Surely a budget hotel would be fine for what they need a bed a shower a hot meal? And would be so much less money and they wouldn’t be coming off as they are doing which is entitled IMO 😩 it’s meant to be an endurance challenge to raise money and awareness not a bloody 5 star all expenses paid trip 🤷‍♀️

I’ve just been looking and a supported ride costs over £2k a person that’s without extras and in a B&B. Ashley and Matt seem to have two supporting riders with them, I know a lot has been gifted by the looks of it but has the trip with the equipment been funding from the Go fund me also the bikes then two bikes were absolutely not cheap! I know they are going around with buckets but I can’t see them raising each day what hotels would cost them i just can’t work this one out and I’m glad someone’s mentioned it
