I lost my son in December and went back to work full time (4 days a week) in August. I have a 3 year old son and i'm currently pregnant again.
Luckily I had a good maternity package so managed to be paid full for 6 months and my husband has a good job too.

As for the free spa day. What I would give to have a spa day at all!! My friends clubbed together to send myself, my husband and our son away for the weekend and I honestly cried. Do they not have friends who would do the same? It's the begging that gets me. I'd never email a spa and say, I lost my son will you give me a free visit?

Yeah I assumed she was in the support Vehicle. Yet again it seems it has to all be about him. He could have included her and got her to do the last leg or last few miles with him even if it meant him going a bit slower at the end.

I get he’s grieving but from what I see he’s not changed from his arrogant self centred previous self

She rode 20k or something she said not so long ago. So I’m pretty sure she could of handled at least the last one to the finish line.

She did a 25 mile ride the other week. I also said she could have just done the few miles or something so they both went over the finish together as a way of including her

They will have rode over 1000 miles which, what ever we think of his behaviour towards S, it is an achievement so I don't think she should ride over the finish line with them. However it would be nice if she was there at the finish to greet them & would be nice if he acknowledged she was there

Just seen Safs post about getting in at 3am and being at home. Got a strange feeling about that she isn't right, I hope her brother is keeping an eye on her he seems a good support for her. I assumed Saf would be meeting Ashley at every check point on this journey and rallying donations. I hope she's ok.

It does seem weird I don’t think she’s mentioned previously about her going home I assumed she was staying in support vehicle,why did they drive all that way for basically a day,hope she has some time to clear her head and just do what she wants and how she wants to handle her grief whilst his away,it may do her some good as I think that’s why she needs.

Yeah, don’t confuse people doing stuff for attention with people who actually suffer from learning difficulties just so you can try and prove a point.. and by all the likes on my statement I have people who agree that what you said was in bad taste

nah you're just virtue signalling. There was absolutely nothing offensive or bad taste about what I said. Perhaps look at your own prejudices which lead you to make such an implication about service users. Unfortunate.

You’re literally saying that they’re probably just people with learning difficulties who don’t understand things properly and you think I’m the problem? Grow up, get a better out look on life and people with learning difficulties and disabilities. You just belittling them to being simple minded who don’t understand is the problem here and that’s what I’m saying

What a way to twist someone's words. You carry on believing all those people are being malicious and Machiavellian, then. Such a sad outlook on life in general and also to go around twisting what I have quite clearly said, to get a bit of validation on such a dark thread. Hope things improve for you.

Look back on the words YOU said and see I am not twisting them, just mine and clearly other peoples interpretation on what you said. You can carry on being naive and thinking that no one does things for personal gain and I’ll carry on knowing that not everyone is as kind as you believe. I didn’t need validation on a thread that isn’t dark, like I have said before, trauma doesn’t turn you into an angel and let you behave however you want.

No need, because they aren't. I do wonder what makes you think that (actually I don't - not that invested haha), maybe you could examine the reasons you have perceived the mention of learning difficulties= offence? Not my lookout though.

Coming from someone who has several family members with learning difficulties, i don't see anything wrong here. Sometimes they don't understand things, its really not that deep. Can we move on

Tbh it is very generalising to say what was said.Just because it doesn’t offend you it does myself and others. Also it seems to me this conversation will not end until the person that disagrees with the statement backs down. As I feel that is the real reason for any debate again.
