In one of the Facebook "level up" groups I used to belong to (I quit because they are SO toxic, my God), someone once posted a whole thing using pics of Melody Hobson and several other women (all 40'ish or older) who are actually married to super rich and/or successful men and was like "How do these plain-Jane, average, masculina women get men like this???" Meanwhile all of these women were extremely accomplished, well educated, perfectly groomed/polished in appearance, and leaders in their relative communities. They've missed the fact that most of these mega rich men that they want will marry women who are already in their social class (if not economic) and in their business and social circles. They think that all they need to do is be pretty and "rest in my feminine" and this will land them a billionaire who wants to rescue them. Maybe that works in some cultures, but in Western cultures it's more of a flex for these men to marry an accomplished women who they can then "retire" to a life of luxury, or the daughter of one of their super rich peers, than it is to pull some random girl from nothing and no where. No amount of studying Anna Bey videos will get a girl with no education, real accomplishments or connections up to the level of a Melody Hobson. And it's sad that they're throwing away $1,000 to be sold a bunch of nonsense from a failed escort.

I agree. I have known a couple of women over 40 (including a 50 year old on her first marriage) that have married decently successful men - not Forbes list CEOs etc but men who were millionaires with businesses and property. The women are educated, have professional careers and connections, and are groomed and poised even though they don’t look like an early 20s Insta girl

To backup @AnnaBelt point it’s unfortunately very very true and taught in undergrad to prepare women(atleast here). Women are most desirable in the workforce when they are 22-25, after that the desirability goes down no matter how great the resume looks. We may have physically and technologically advanced but mentally and emotionally we are still primates. Only educated and people who have worked on their intrapersonal skills can be aware of when they are thinking with their reptilian brain and when they are thinking with their higher functioning brain. Since IQ disproportionately favours idiots(pyramidal structure more idiots at the bottom and less geniuses at the top), there’s few people who reach that level of awareness in their thought patterns and even fewer who are willing to reprogram their brain to break them. We are simple creatures, despite this technology and industrial advancements, we are still slaves to our primate past. Anna taps into that but she just has godawful examples because she’s broke and lazy.

I agree, but only one thing to correct. Fortunately for all of us intelligence has Gaussian Distribution (bell shape curve) very small percentage of geniuses, very small percentage of people with very low IQ, majority of people with average intelligence with some standard deviation. There may be impression of big amount of idiots thanks to internet and social media where we see tendency of flashy idiots (and lets not forget about "village stupid phenomena" where people are pointing out dumbiness to feel better about themselves, or because some statements are controversial they may be taken as a threat, so people point them out trying to ridicule them) and also not having appropriate self reflection where person may stop and think that what is going to say may be actually stupid.

So basically Anna’s just living for the appearances, because it’s way easier than to actually work and get something for herself, both professionally and personally.

Looking at her overly done face, extremely damaged hair and awful looks I can say that she managed to fail in this too… Way to go, elegance expert! “You had one job…”

On a way more interesting and personal topic

Not only I’m having a great time reading your posts, my dears, but the confidence in myself is increasing every time someone points out her choices in life and in fashion. And you are helping me with this.

I never thought of myself as someone fashionable, but I can see that the basics learned from my mom (and now from all of your great tips too!) are more than enough to make me look great in any situation.

Besides, I have my career, which made me live abroad (it’s a big deal in my family, I’m the first one to travel outside Brazil!), some money saved, a plan to buy my place someday next year (wish me luck!), and a family, partner and friends that care about me. I’m way more affluent than she will ever dream of!

I never knew faceapp could do it. Everyone always referred to it as photoshop and I always wondered why my Adobe photoshop couldn’t automatically do that
