Hi ladies!
New here but I have been following you since January (reading all of your threads). Your talk is my morning newspaper, I enjoy it every day with my coffee. I finally decided to interract, particularly for three reasons.
One : Although living in France, I work in Geneva, I am what they call here a "transfrontalier". I often have lunch at Lipp with my colleagues, or other restaurants shown by Anna, I know the city and its worth. Therefore, I might be able to complete (or to correct) what had been said about it, and to reveal (with some interesting details I hope) the reality of Anna's so-called "high-society" life. I confirm here that she was trying to stage Four Seasons rooms, ground floor lounge, and even the hall entry, for her home. Eggs (which she used as a plate to "teach" us "manners") at Four Seasons ground floor bar - not the restaurant which is more expensive- is the cheapest plate of the place, everybody can afford it, it is not a big deal, as well as all those avocado-salmon combinations (everywhere in Geneva, they are always on the "entrées" list as the cheapest ones). "filets de perche" is very common, various fishes " en croûte de sel" too. The Four Seasons terasse (I'm passing by on my way to work) would be a real show for you ladies! Anna has competitors in terms of vulgar fake blond escort wannabes waiting to be hook up. Apparently the Four Seasons resort is now known for that (see what happens in Dubai) and it is a shame because the Geneva one is really beautiful and distingushed architecturally just as well in regard to its interior design. Incidentally I don't see Anna at Beaurivage and Richemont, two of the most important hotels here, there is maybe an explanation related to the Four Seasons seen by the rich Arabian men as a waiting room for escorts. Lipp it is very affordable. It is true that you can see people of influence (in the Geneva society) who have lunch there quite often but, unfortunately for Anna, she is not able to recongnize them. Her idea of "influence" is at the opposite of the image of REAL influence here (very discrete). Same for the Russian church that has been shown as a part of her new spiritual path. It was built with Russian oligarchs money (many of them have mansions in Cologny, a place that it is unaffordable for Anna). I imagine that she is not looking there for God but for a Russian wealthy man. The problem is that the church is attended only by modest orthodox people (Romanian, Ukrainian, etc.) who are there to pray not to play. If you want further comments concerning Champel or Corsier or etc., please ask. I am affraid to be overly long for a first post. And I am sorry for my English, not as accurate as it should be.
Two : French by nationality and academic education, but born and raised in Eastern Europe, I am upset with this kind of creature who contributes to the bad image of Eastern European women : at best golddiggers, at worst prostitutes (I generalize here, of course, just to make my point).
Three : It is also very disturbing to see the nerve of this woman acting as an expert in the savoir-vivre and bonnes manières domain. My French education (parisien actually =I had the chance to know a Madam Chic as Jennifer L. Scott's ) has a heart attack every time she touches a glass or a fork. I mean this is a pure "escort for Arabian or Russian men" knowledge, it doesn't work this way in the real life where people recognize themselves as being part of the same cultured circle. That tip of taking the glass by the stem for exemple is ludicrous. It is everywhere on youtube and internet right now as part of all that jazz etiquette fancy stuff but it is a sommelier thing not something for a well-born/educated/aristocratic lady as the etiquette experts want us to belive. The sommelier is the person who serve, the Lady is the person to be served. The sommelier has a professional interest in not touching the bowl because of the finger prints or the temperature of his hand, the Lady doesn't care, it is her glass, her expensive wine, her champagne. Do you get the confusion that is prevaling today in this "good manners" world, between upstairs and downstairs ways of acting? If you have any doubts just look at the Queen and Princess Ann.
Finally I would like to make a strong statement. I still don't belive in her mariage ceremony. I think it is a fake (telling maybe to hall town people that it was for a movie, advertising, or something like that). In the best case scenario it is a PACS, now permitted in Geneva (Partenariat cantonal genevois). It means the woman is not the Lady of the manor that she wants us to belive she is, she is only a "business" partner, mainly for fiscal reasons. Taxes in Geneva are very high when you are single, "barême A" ; it was made to encourage mariages (and now Pacs) as taxes for married peoples are low, "barême B" or C. If you don't know what the PACS is, just look at the differences with a marriage and you will understand why it is important to point that out.
Glad to be with you!
