I think it's absolutely disgusting that she's aware enough to say that she "attracted an audience of people with EDs" and now she is going to start posting how to recover. First she has 0 qualifications. Secondly people tried to tell her she was being harmful and she ignored them. Third when she mentioned she didn't have a period and people freaked out and said that's not okay, she ignored them and got defensive in a deleted video she made about how "weird" it was we wanted to know if she had a period.

I hope most people see through her BS. She's just back trying to make coin off her audience now and it repulses me:rolleyes: Leave your vulnerable audience alone and go talk to your "therapist" Anna

Wtf who the duck writes ’either way you would of struggled with this❤’ TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY

yes Anna may not have single handedly caused this girls ED but she was a dam big influence. Own up and delete everything triggering from your account. Those videos are still easily accessible to so many people who are looking for diet advice.

I can’t believe I followed her workout plan and Diet advice for a period of time

Yep. She definitely was a huge influence on me relapsing in my ED. No doubt about it.

I wish she would delete her old content, it still can be so triggering for some people. If she’s so pro-recovery idk why she would keep up that old harmful content...

literally !! i’ve dmed her asking her to take it down, it’s so irresponsible to leave it up when she’s now said she had an eating disorder at the time !!!! i don’t know how people are still praising her for her posts it’s upsetting me

All I can say is yikes, yikes, YIKES. "Whether or not you saw my videos, you would have struggled with this" just sounds like the biggest attempt at avoiding taking responsibility and is just straight up wrong. I remember in November or January she made this tiktok where she stated that she'd been bingeing due to critics saying she was eating too healthy, and that this behavior was caused by trying to satisfy them. Again just blaming everyone else when in reality it was due to restrictive eating.
There is so much wrong with inferring that others with EDs have also suffered trauma. Yes, it is one of the risk factors, but there are so many others, and no, Anna, this girl would not have struggled no matter what. That's like saying everyone with PTSD will also eventually develop an eating disorder. In fact, making such a claim can straight up cause someone to try to seek out a reason for trauma that would not necessarily have affected life otherwise and subsequently feel like they can't get better. She is directly harming her audience.
I really can't deal with her acting as if she knows everything there is about well-being when 1) she has no degree, and 2) whether she is aware of it or not, she is still not in a good headspace herself. Recovery doesn't happen overnight, especially not with pseudoscientific mumbo jumbo.

Why is she acting like she’s fully recovered yet commenting on her tiktoks saying how the negative comments aren’t helpful etc - if she was fully recovered they wouldn’t bother her?? I honestly can’t with her like she should’ve stayed off social media. Can’t believe that reply to the girl either wtf completely denying responsibility.
I dunno if anyone ever noticed but before her social media break there was a couple accounts that commented on this thread about her positively but hadn’t posted on any other thread or been active since - always thought they might’ve been her

The biggest joke of all of this is that her account is still called "annaarcherfitness"

She is not fit

She never was fit

She isn't talking about how to be fit

So why is "fitness" in her account?????????????????

The problem with Anna is that every time she says something she insists it's "the way."

"I used to binge but then I began eating high volume foods and now I'm sooo satisfied and happy."

"I used to push myself in the gym to lift weights but now I just go on long walks and feel soooo much better."

"I used to restrict my eating but now I eat intuitively and NoUrIsH myself!!!"

"I used to wake up early to work out and burn calories but now I sleep in!!!"

I don't believe a SINGLE WORD she says anymore. She is full of BS.

Her comment sections melt my head. Any call for accountability is shouted down as shaming

I seriously hope she's seeing an ACTUAL therapist and not her vortex healing scam artist that she's promoting to her fans

In her stories she's hitting her head/chest while making gorilla sounds and saying that is how you defeat invasive thoughts. She's teaching OCD behaviors and pseudoscience to people with EDs wtf.

Anna talks about needing to work through her trauma but all she seems to have done is link it to her eating disorder and try and make it link to any other problems.

You dont just make the links and hope for the best, you actually have to address it and work through it.... seems like she’s trying to suppress it again tbh

I have OCD and this reminds me of when I was in high school and I'd watch a ton of videos on people's morning routines. They say "I do ____ to help my anxiety" so I started getting very regimented with my morning routine, too, in an effort to get rid of my anxious thoughts. I didn't even realize I had gotten into these obsessive routines until one day my dad tried to come in my room and talk to me before I was "ready" to go downstairs. I was in the middle of systematically turning on my lights in the "proper order" and I flipped out when I couldn't finish it.

I'm obviously not saying she has OCD, but her doing that kind of thing is a red flag for me. What I've learned over time is that it's never a good idea to mask one behavior with another one. I used to do this thing where I'd have an intrusive thought and start chanting something in my head until I couldn't think about that intrusive thought anymore. Although that works temporarily, it's not dealing with your actual thoughts at all. That's why you're supposed to work through those intrusive thoughts in therapy.

Anna said before that she used to get up early to try and get a certain amount of exercise or steps in, too. I used to do that as well when I was deep in my OCD. Anna also said in her latest YouTube video that she used to think over and over in her head, "I feel so guilty" while she ate, and that she turned that into a so-called affirmation of "I don't feel so guilty." Well, I hate to break it to her, but that's the exact behavior I used to do when I was trying to overpower my intrusive thoughts by thinking other things.

Regardless of whether Anna does or doesn't have OCD, it's really bad to teach people those kind of behaviors. The reason people like me fall into addressing intrusive thoughts with obsessive/compulsive actions is because it DOES work--temporarily--to get over your anxiety. But long-term it's extremely harmful and you need to deal with the real issue head-on.

Can't speak to whether Anna does or doesn't have OCD, but just wanted to confirm that ED and OCDs share a really strong genetic basis and are often linked to one another. So would definitely not be unreasonable to think she has compulsive tendencies, even if not straight up OCD.

And notice how even though there is this strong genetic link, I am not blurting out that, "either way she would've struggled with OCD❤" - maybe Anna should learn something from this 🧐

I left a comment responding to that comment on her latest Tik Tok video and basically said "are you serious rn?? You are blaming this person and giving advice that you aren't qualified to give?? Take responsibility for your own posts!" and now my comment is gone and so is the original comment I responded to of hers. My comment got like 100 likes and I was surprised so many people agreed :ROFLMAO: I didn't even know you could take down comments like that on Tik Tok

Christ, the lengths she goes to to avoid taking responsibility 🥴 I'm glad so many agreed, though - as they should!

Omg! I saw your comment and liked it, I can’t believe she’s deleted it! At least she’s seen it I guess...
The comments on that tiktok acc irk me so much like all her followers who are probably under the age of 14 are convinced that she’s recovered and taking everything she says about “how to be happy” as gospel 🙃

She made a comment that's at the top that says something like "these comments don't pass the vibe check" and I'm like um excuse me but YOU don't pass the vibe check.

I had a couple responses to my comment and one person was so triggered and defending Anna. That person told me I'm being a bully because Anna OBVIOUSLY wasn't in control during her disorder. I didn't even bother responding to those people because they're just die-hard Anna stans. Anna's an adult, adults are responsible for their actions--YES EVEN MENTALLY ILL ADULTS should be held responsible.

I really don’t understand her recent TikToks. She says that her main goal is to help people love themselves and be happy but she’s just making memes about her trauma and taking no accountability for the damage she’s caused. She’s super snarky in her comments too. Idk I feel like she’s super lost and need to get off of social media so she doesn’t continue to be harmful..

That comment telling the poor girl that she would’ve suffered with ED anyways is so disgusting. Like saying well your life would have sucked nonetheless 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s ignorant of her to say she didn’t have any affect on people by posting her content, she was an inspiration for many and not in a good way. And people in the comments still defending by saying that she has always promoted healthy and sustainable weight loss... Her meals have always been and sadly still are only enough for a kid to survive on, even tho they might seem like a lot but the calorie density is so low. At some point she started to spread the message that weightlifting will make you bulky and thus why people should do a lot of cardio if they wanna be lean. That was such a disgrace to the influencers who have tried to spread the word that weightlifting won’t make you bulky and encourage women to not be scared of weights, and then you get an influencer with 1million followers and strong fan base to start telling it will make you bulky🤧
