Yeah my point being is these holidays are technically work trips so she should be on a work visa…she won’t be which is why I hope she gets questioned by US customs 😂 she’d tit a brick
That’s very true … we can only hope!🙈🙏🏻🤣

First of all - really lovely thing of Ana to do as New York and everything that comes with it really is NOT cheap so it’s really generous of her to pay for the holiday, the flights and activities there for them all. And she seemed to put so much thought into the other little gifts she got them both I was really impressed with how much effort she put in.

However - and I really hate to comment on him given he’s only a child but it’s SO difficult not to but Atticus really was insufferable in that video to the point I turned it off because he was making me feel irritated and agitated. I couldn’t cope with the “IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO THERE TOO ANA” … “IVE ALWAYS LIKED NEW YORK” … “IVE WANTED TO GO TOO” you could tell even Ana was like SHUT UP when she replies “I know but mummy has ALWAYS wanted to go so it’s a surprise for her” I get he’s a kid and kids do just like to feel involved and make things about them but it’s the way neither Julie or Ana speak to him about these things and teach him that not everything and everyone else’s lives revolve around him. Every video he’s in it’s constant:

• Talking over everyone
• Attention seeking and needing to be heard
• Repeating his self 50 times
• Bad attitude and strops when he doesn’t get what he wants
• Spoilt and ungrateful behaviour and lack of manners

Julie really needs to have him assessed for some form of autism. My brother is autistic (and has ADHD) and he has similar traits to Atticus in the sense that he needs to feel like he’s being given attention 24/7, if me and another family member are having a conversation (and our attention isn’t on him) then he will make silly noises or but in to distract us and give him attention, he does the flapping hands that Atticus does ALL THE TIME (this is one of the main signs of autism so we were told by specialists anyway) and he too is obsessed with knowledge and facts again like Atticus is.

It would really help her to have him assessed because then she can approach his behavior correctly and help others to understand why he might be the way that he is etc. It’s only fair to him as well so he gets the help he needs and the support he needs at school, especially as he approaches high school

Either way though nothing excuses his ill manners and rudeness all the time she really needs to put her foot down a bit with him because he’s going to really struggle to have genuine friends and relationships the older he gets otherwise

Atticus has got his stroppy behaviour from Julie , Julie is only nice on camera now because she has her own channel so has to keep up the mother Theresa act , if you watch some of Ana’s old videos she was such a horrible nasty old witch.

Don't forget new suitcases with new york branding on them 😂
Maybe (!!!) they’ll get personalised initial cases and we can all know if atticus is a Mingsnorth or a Stanton after all LMAOO (apologies in advance for starting that battle)

Said it all when Atticus sat down to open the surprise present and said "where we going now?" or "wonder where we're going" like he just assumed.

I don't think that boy has been told no in his whole life.

Interesting to watch Julie around nanny though and it made me understand why she's probably so stroppy all the time - she had to take on a parental role... and then you get Ana who is a nice girl but immature... and then there's Atticus who is... Atticus and needs constant attention.

Don't love Julie but you've gotta feel for her - poor woman hasn't had a break her whole life from having to care for others more than she should.

It would've been so nice if the trip to New York was just Julie and Ana.

Also... isn't it a long way to go for just 4 days?

I couldn’t imagine going that far just for 4 days I’d rather go for longer or if not then somewhere closer. Surely it’s only really 2 days as the other 2 will be traveling?

New York isn’t really somewhere you go for like ageeessss. Its more of a city break than a holiday, going for 4/5 days is normal.

It really annoys me because you just KNOW Atticus refuses to get on the tube & will always demand an Uber or a taxi.

IDK I'd think travelling 8 hours each way isn't really worth it to spend just 4 days?

I’ve been to New York for 5 days. The flight is only 8 hours compared to LA which I think is about 11 hours.
I have no idea what Julie’s background is. I thought that Wendy is losing her eyesight not that she can’t read. I can’t remember which video it was, but I remember her mentioning going on holiday as a child. She does mention her dad briefly in Ana’s ‘20 nuggets, 20 questions’ video. Wendy does seem eccentric and childlike, but I don’t know if that means that Julie has spent her whole life caring for her. Her past is a mystery.
If you have children, you’re expected to care for them. I’m not quite sure how that makes Julie some poor put upon woman.

New York for 4 days is totally normal. I went to Singapore (14 hours) for 5 days and was fine.

Nanny gave Julie and Ana a place to live when she split with her husband and provided a lot for both of them because Julie has always been to lazy to get a job so I wouldn’t feel that sorry for Julie .

Is there no one else that could have Bratticus? It would be nice for Ana and her mum to spend some quality time together, and go to New York alone. I could not cope with him carrying on like he does 24/7, absolute nightmare!

The flight time and expense seems to be the thing I think makes people think they need to spend longer. I thought about spending a week in New York, a city that only has a couple hundreds years of history just because it was far away but only spent 4 days in Rome with thousands of years of history. They’ll probably spend a day shopping so they’re just paying thousands to visit a far away London with less to see.

When I went to New York, I went for a week and personally I think that was too long. We did so much walking etc that by the end of the week we were just exhausted!

Just came back from New York, we spent five nights and six days there and honestly last time we went we spent four days and got just as much done! Plus is so expensive, think we spent £2500 in just spending money there for those days! Four days is more than enough!

Ok I do agree that they had more ‘humble’ beginnings than the lifestyle they currently have (obviously), but I’m getting a bit bored of this ‘came from nothing’ narrative because that’s not even slightly true. Yes we know that their family struggled and had to watch the pennies but I feel like it’s Ana’s closeness with Saffron and looking at their family’s financial situations side by side that created this distorted image of poverty for ana. We’ve been told that their family went to Ibiza on holiday ‘loads’ when ana was a child, according to her, so I’m sorry but that to me doesn’t scream on the poverty line. I think to simply compare a ‘normal’ (I guess) lifestyle with the rich lifestyle Ana lives now is very naive and we need to stop the pity party because this family has never been one to cry for.

(Btw I’m not attacking OP, I’m just focusing on the came from nothing comment, I do agree that Ana is, despite a number of personality flaws, kind hearted)

oo okay i didn't actually know this! bit strange that she always pushes this 'we were so broke' thing then, i certainly never went abroad as a kid and i know loads of people who in that case were probably worse off than her then!

Very odd family. Each person is like a character from a comedy sitcom. Each with different weird traits and quirks. The Nan is cute but definitely child like and ditzy. Joolie is OCD and manic. Ana is probably the most 'normal' thanks to her Dad I'm guessing. Bratticus is literally Joolie but with autistic traits. It's a recipe for madness.
They would be known as the odd family up the road if they lived near me growing up.
Joolie and Bratticus only have each other. Neither seems to want to spend time outside the family unit as far as we can see. He likes the company of adults. Children are far too.....childreny for him.
Ana has probably had to play role of a sort of carer/mediator/grown up in that house when she lived there. It must have been insufferable living with those two. Joolie is passive aggressive and doesn't have much intelligence or common sense. But seeing Nan, you have to question her upbringing and what that would have been like. Lots of anxiety and unpredictability I'd guess.
Anyhow. Thats my analysis of the mad house.
