That’s very true … we can only hope!Yeah my point being is these holidays are technically work trips so she should be on a work visa…she won’t be which is why I hope she gets questioned by US customs she’d tit a brick

Maybe (!!!) they’ll get personalised initial cases and we can all know if atticus is a Mingsnorth or a Stanton after all LMAOO (apologies in advance for starting that battle)Don't forget new suitcases with new york branding on them
I couldn’t imagine going that far just for 4 days I’d rather go for longer or if not then somewhere closer. Surely it’s only really 2 days as the other 2 will be traveling?Said it all when Atticus sat down to open the surprise present and said "where we going now?" or "wonder where we're going" like he just assumed.
I don't think that boy has been told no in his whole life.
Interesting to watch Julie around nanny though and it made me understand why she's probably so stroppy all the time - she had to take on a parental role... and then you get Ana who is a nice girl but immature... and then there's Atticus who is... Atticus and needs constant attention.
Don't love Julie but you've gotta feel for her - poor woman hasn't had a break her whole life from having to care for others more than she should.
It would've been so nice if the trip to New York was just Julie and Ana.
Also... isn't it a long way to go for just 4 days?
IDK I'd think travelling 8 hours each way isn't really worth it to spend just 4 days?New York isn’t really somewhere you go for like ageeessss. Its more of a city break than a holiday, going for 4/5 days is normal.
Nanny gave Julie and Ana a place to live when she split with her husband and provided a lot for both of them because Julie has always been to lazy to get a job so I wouldn’t feel that sorry for Julie .Said it all when Atticus sat down to open the surprise present and said "where we going now?" or "wonder where we're going" like he just assumed.

The flight time and expense seems to be the thing I think makes people think they need to spend longer. I thought about spending a week in New York, a city that only has a couple hundreds years of history just because it was far away but only spent 4 days in Rome with thousands of years of history. They’ll probably spend a day shopping so they’re just paying thousands to visit a far away London with less to see.New York isn’t really somewhere you go for like ageeessss. this is how I feel about New York as well I’ve got no interest going at allThe flight time and expense seems to be the thing I think makes people think they need to spend longer. Ok I do agree that they had more ‘humble’ beginnings than the lifestyle they currently have (obviously), but I’m getting a bit bored of this ‘came from nothing’ narrative because that’s not even slightly true. Yes we know that their family struggled and had to watch the pennies but I feel like it’s Ana’s closeness with Saffron and looking at their family’s financial situations side by side that created this distorted image of poverty for ana. We’ve been told that their family went to Ibiza on holiday ‘loads’ when ana was a child, according to her, so I’m sorry but that to me doesn’t scream on the poverty line. I think to simply compare a ‘normal’ (I guess) lifestyle with the rich lifestyle Ana lives now is very naive and we need to stop the pity party because this family has never been one to cry for.
(Btw I’m not attacking OP, I’m just focusing on the came from nothing comment, I do agree that Ana is, despite a number of personality flaws, kind hearted)
