Prep (preparatory) school prepares them for higher education and is more focused on that than a regular primary school would be.
Prep would be preparing you for the entrance exams, prepping you for grammar school and Higher education. (To the best of my knowledge)

Curious as to how Mama Pretty (cringe ) paid for all this if she was bringing Laura-Ad up on her own? Only assuming as much as there’s no mention of the father ever. Does anyone know what the mother works/worked at?

It's not expensive here in Northern Ireland and some kids get scholarships although it's already been established that she wasn't at a private school. Just a regular school

All different prices depending on location etc. Some have boarding places and others don't so it varies a fair bit

The one she possibly went to doesn't have a boarding element so it's not a huge expense. The prep part of the school isn't there anymore though so not sure of the exact fees

How much is a prep school?

Roughly £6-£8k per school year (for 7 years!). Then a lot of add ons for various things, like wrap around care, clubs etc.
The prep follows the same curriculum as the state primary schools. Not a lot of difference apart from smaller classes.

Today alone selling/buying. .buying hairbands, work tops, jumpers, blackout blinds, bracelets, linen bundle bedding..dress for races, new embroidery jacket, cath kitson stuff.
Stopped watching after that.
Non stop spending or selling . Materialism.
Just emptiness.
I need to stop following these types .
It's not good for the soul.

totally agree. Emptiness is a brilliant word for it.
It’s like she needs to spend as nothing else satisfies her.

I’ve stopped watching all of them in the last few weeks, although I still follow along on here You’re absolutely right, it’s not good for the soul, they’re all absolute ghouls. I don’t know how they sleep at night living such a sell sell sell fake lifestyle.

Honestly, I’ve unfollowed a lot of them, but there are things about Laura-Ann I still enjoy. At the same time, you could not pay me to be an influencer, trying to turn every aspect of my life into a profit center. It looks exhausting, and it certainly doesn’t encourage any kind of rich, inner life. She consumes, and as I see it, she is consumed.

I don't follow her any more so didn't know about the kitchen worktops changing but to be fair it was the most hideous kitchen before so any change is an improvement!

her mum didn’t bring her up on her own. Her dad was the one who had the money, very successful businessman. They broke up and her mum got a massive sum of money from the divorce, then they basically disowned the dad. He passed away a couple of years ago and LA didn’t even go to the funeral

I’m fairness it was very clear she’s all about the money before this! Very grabby. No class. Her husband owed a lot of money and yet she still behaves like this. Zero class.
