Exactly! Always has to say something to make her different from others - saying Karl lagerfeld liked her as she asked a question he hadn’t heard before/ was in vogue for an article on tomboys… the more I think back and watch her now I realise how she sounds like a pick me girl :cry:

Yes, "pick me girl" is a good way to put it. I read an interview with her somewhere where she talked about how her first boyfriend (who was much older than her. Enough to know better...ew) really introduced her to a lot of music, so she could say things to subsequent beaus like "Oh, you've never heard of X-Ray Spex?" :rolleyes: Also, she said that instead of people saying "You look great today", she much prefers it when they say "Oh, you sound clever today, Alexa." I mean, yes, not everything is about physical appearance, and I do think her intelligence set her apart from the rest of the skinny and pretty fashion crowd, but she wouldn't be where she is today if she wasn't also skinny and pretty.

I remember those quotes! Even as a 15 year old i thought she sounded pretentious 🥴 Plus only pretty people who know they’re pretty would say that!

I found this video a little cringy to watch (usually these "What's in my bag" videos are). I feel like Alexa has done a few of them over the years and is just rinsing and repeating to try to remain relevant. Also, her hair dangling on the sides of her face bugged me the whole time!

Agreed. This video makes me realize she definitely uses filters on all her IG photos and reels... She is looking more her age here (which is fine, by the way, but she is nearly 40). British Vogue's cameras don't lie!

Aha I’ve been using that mascara for my eyebrows for yeeeeeears. It’s collection 2000, works a charm and better than any eyebrow gel I’ve tried.

I feel weird watching Alexa. It’s like she’s stuck in a time loop, like her little joke at the start about the cat and how she looks like a jonathan… I don’t know how to describe it - like quite quirky and cute but a teeny bit immature. Like hanging out with your younger sisters mates and knowing you were exactly the same at their age but now you find them immature?

she’s almost 40 but seems like… she’s still stuck in her 20s.

Straggly and greasy.
Probably said this before but I liked her YT channel. With hindsight I presume it was mainly to advertise her clothing brand. Now the clothing line has gone she doesn't bother with it.
Fair enough I suppose.

I can't help but like Alexa - she's funny and self-depreciating and I like that. No idea why she speaks with such a posh accent though - her siblings certainly don't.

I wonder what Alexa actually DOES anymore. To make a living, I mean. If you look at her Instagram, she only appears to party, go on holiday, show up at events, and do the occasional ad or brand partnership. Maybe her past jobs have allowed her to be a woman of leisure now?

Just popping in to say I think she looks amazing! Maybe a bit more grown up which suits her imo and her make up is gorgeous I think.
