Her forehead was incredibly shiny in that live but I only watched less than 5 mins of it because I didn't know who the guest was and she didn't sound particularly interesting to me.
I thought Alex's brows looked lifted at the ends. I don't know if she was using face tape or had some kind of brow lift. I don't know if I'm imagining it but I thought at least one brow looked noticeably lifted

I'm all for getting procedures. If I had the money, I'd be getting everything done :p . I just think you shouldn't lie outrageously and shamelessly about filtering/blurring/photoshopping your face and body and then berate your followers when they ask if you have. :sneaky:
I mean, look at how f**king blurry this screenshot is from the live.

This screenshot better illustrates why I thought her brows looked more lifted at the ends than usual.

Yes, one brow looked more pulled taught than the other. I had it on in the background and her host said she loved getting Botox…. Alex kept schtum.

I have a brow lift with botox. When its fresh one side can lift more than the other until the 7-10 days have passed. Then they settle. Looks to be what’s happened here. Also the shiny forehead is a classic sign of Botox

I too have Botox and I’m a similar age to Alex - that is definitely a Botox’ed forehead!!!

Alex on Monday Versus Alex on Friday of the same week.  But sure, she doesn't use filters or face editing apps EVER. We're all just cynical, negative and jealous.

Im pretty sure her industry buddies must laugh hwr instagram photos amd videos
Well, I'd be very surprised if none of her fellow beauty content creators had ever discussed Alex's extreme use of beauty filters and face editing apps amongst themselves at some point.

I always wonder what Caroline Hirons, Sali Hughes and Samantha Chapman think when they see Alex on their Instagram feed. Since they're similar in age. I wonder what they think and say to themselves when they see Alex issuing statements on Instagram telling us that she does not edit her selfies and that she thinks it's a shame people are so distrusting and cynical. {sigh}

She needs to be stopped and reported because this is just bad how shes putting on full on filters and sitting in front of millions of lights

I’ve said it once (I think I’ve said it once before 🤔), and I’ll say it again. Her head is like an egg 🥚
Totally.
Also, why do I not have brown egg emoji? I only see a white one!

Soooo bored of the Sunday facial format. Identical video every Sunday. It’s time to switch it up, Alex. 😐

Every time with the staring into the camera dreamily like she’s smug about a secret.😏

The eye brows are looking more lifted/higher on her face this week.

There’s always at least two commenters on every post praising her for having amazing skin but zoom in just a little and you can blatantly see the skin is digitally smoother/blurred

These photos are from Glamour magazines articles dated August & October *2010* - almost 12 years ago.

Less wrinkles, bigger eyebrows and no expression shadows or lines in 2021/2022. I’m surprised she mentioned she doesn’t use retinols at all yet. It’s usually a top staple in women over 35’s skincare routine.

She has great skin. I’ve seen her randomly in Selfridges (not for an event). But she is no way that chiselled with a pointy chin. This was pre covid and she was def slimmer than recent pics. But like most of us I think she gains weight in her face and probably hasn’t looked like that since her 20’s. Also people use filters that much they’ve forgotten what great skin actually is!

She does have great skin and I'm sure it's probably genetic - her Mum has gorgeous skin too.

I think Alex is beautiful (in fact I find her much more interesting to look at in her 'real life' photos vs. the heavily filtered alien-like selfies she puts out - minus the questionable oversized fashion) but I had to unfollow her. She clearly has crippling insecurities and I can't take her word on products seriously when she's going to all that effort to deceive her audience. Really sad.

She definitely has good skin. Don’t think anyone really doubted that. What I admire most about her skin in unretouched photos is how even her skin tone is. No hyperpigmentation. Looks like she never had acne and the marks acne leaves behind.

However, what the beauty filters and her own face editing hides is her fine lines and wrinkles and she does have them. When I saw her in person in a cafe in Westbourne Grove sometime pre-2020, what I noticed immediately was how she looked older and far more matronly in person compared to how she looked to me on her instagram.

These photos show her wrinkles much more than most of her ultra blurry selfie pics and videos in which her facial skin looks super tight and smooth. In person, I could see that she’s a typical middle aged woman with some loss of elasticity in her lower face. I have the same signs of ageing and I am not in the habit of airbrushing them out of my social media selfies.

These 2 photos were taken just 1 week apart and the difference in face shape is pretty damn drastic. I’d feel so lame editing my face like this. If my friends, boyfriend and family saw me change my face shape this drastically through apps - making it longer, gaunt and pointy when they know I have a really round, full face in real life, they’d cringe and I’d be mortified they knew I was willing to be this dishonest.

If Alex had refused to comment at all on her filter/FaceApp abuse, I’d feel more neutral on the subject and tell myself, she’s just insecure and I guess “everyone” uses filters now. I used to think, surely she knows we can tell but when she started taking to her IG account to completely deny she alters her selfies - and she really does deny it 100% - that’s when I became actively disapproving of her as a beauty influencer. Her “how can I give credible advice if I faked my own face?!” 🤥 statement left me
so 😳🤨😵. The dishonesty! I mean, she’s lying. I know that she is either in some weird state of denial or she is comfortable choosing to tell whopping lies. “I don’t even use filters …” the audacity! 😱

FAN PHOTO last week Alex’s video today

Below is an example of the video quality I prefer to see from beauty influencers where you may have used flattering angles and lighting but you can see real up close skin texture. You can see natural shadows and expression lines.

I think Katie Jane Hughes has good skin but she isn’t praised anywhere near as much as Alex is for having “ because she doesn’t crank up the blurring and smoothing filters to 11.
