I accidentally bought some recently when I went for the haddock. Turned out I'd picked up cod by mistake, but it was really nice and I'm a convert.

I now hate Aldi website - Why can't they tell you the price of the food they sell in their shop, what are they afraid of?
Nope starts lower than 5 and goes up but they are doing offers 3 for 2 etc yes the top of the range is 7 but not all.@Chocolategoggler good grief! It's over £7 at waitrose, no wonder I balked
My local waitrose the cheapest I could see in the fresh section was £6.25 for 2 pieces of breaded cod/haddock, they were 3 for £12. Frozen is £5 for 2. Lidl is around £3.50 for 4
I agree but it is not all 7.
I had a nice idea of doing some Greek style pan fried cod with olives, tomatoes etc. That came to an end in waitrose when I was in the aisle and scooted to a halt at the prices! Trek to lidl it is, I doubt there'd be much difference in quality. Thanks for everyone's info

Why are the aldi special buys so awful atm. I picked up a magazine just now for next week and it’s crap. I did buy the garlic fries from their American range, though.
On the weekly sheets they are but if I google random foods they just describe it and no price.The prices are all available on the Aldi website for me

I am on iPad and can’t see the superbuys. Sunny and Thursday ech week it is like the picture hasn’t been developed been going on for months I gave up In the end. Didn’t matter what browser I used.
That's really odd - I rarely go to Aldi because of the location, but sometimes I price check by going to their site and searching.
bought a whole small watermelon from aldi this weekend for 1.99 opened it up and it is all liquid inside and gross. I scoop the liquid into a bowl and put in freezer. taste it frozen and is still gross/gave me a tummy ache so i put it all in the compost. Should I ask for a refund? has anyone else had bad experience with their produce?
If it was gross when you cut it open, why would you freeze it and then try it again??
