I don't like using traditional exfoliating products on my face as I've never found one that doesn't leave my skin irritated for hours after using it. The salicylic acid in this cleanser helps exfoliate the skin, but it's gentle enough that it doesn't irritate. I wish I had taken "before" pics to prove this, but I'm convinced that my pores have shrunk in size! My skin just feels smoother and softer than it has with any other cleanser I've used. I also have keratosis pilaris (not on my face, but on arms and a little bit on my legs) and I've used this cleanser on those areas and it has almost completely cleared them up.
I use it mainly as my second cleanser. I first use Simple's cleansing oil to remove makeup, oils, dirt, ect from my skin (I pretty much exclusively wear waterproof mascara, and this method of removing it is the most gentle on my eyelashes that I've found) And then once I've washed that off, I go in with the CeraVe cleanser to cleanse the skin. At night I finish with the CeraVe retinol serum. In the morning I just use the CeraVe cleanser and some of their AM facial moisturiser I think it's called.
Sorry if that was more of a ramble than you wanted!
