I could go to a supermarket every single day. There's always something I need (more accurately: want). And I just love greedily looking round the shelves.I Missed my friends text earlier asking me if I fancied an aldi trip this afternoon. sad about that but she did take me last week, and I’d already been to the nearby Lidl. Also going to Costco on Wednesday so would need a new freezer if I had gone to Aldi.
Oh the psychopath in me absolutely loves this kind of confrontation! Current favourite place for it is in Marks & Spencer’s, usually with an older person that needs to be taught some manners - which I am more than happy to do! The stores not just open for you, love. Shift your trolley or I willI don't normally go to Aldi at 6pm but had a lift and wanted to look at the American food fridge. Never seen this in my Aldi but 2 women were parked infront of the fridge with a trolley each and there was no way anybody else was going to get a look in. After a few minutes (honestly) I asked 1 of them if they would pass me a salted beef pack and she said - we are looking, wait, I replied I only want you to pass me one and the other one said - oh just f+ing give her one.I was absolutely gobsmacked. Will be sticking to my opening time shopping.
What I was going to ask - have any of you eaten any of the Aldiner burgers etc yet as my friends 19yr son, who loves a MaccyD, is coming here on Sunday and I thought I would buy them as it would save a drive and I don't mind cooking and adding bits to them.
I am not having the salted beef until Monday so he can't have that.
Probably in the garden to gather round like a campfireThey’re HUGE aren’t they! Where do people even put them?!

One aspect of modern life that does my head in is staff having such a great time chatting with each other they are too busy to help you. It is rife these days, in cafes, shops, everywhere, and I find it so rude and unprofessional. This annoys me too - they do it in Tescos too!
Quoting myself - Aldi was wild, so so busy! Only 2 of each item allowed per person which I thought was great as last year so much was sold on. Lidl was very quiet with no queues at all. I managed to get what I wanted to I’ll have a happy little girl at Xmas!I’m off to the wooden toy sale in both Aldi and Lidl tomorrow - pray for me![]()
I actually find it pretty useful. When you hit certain spending milestones you also get free/discounted items - last month I got a free 3kg bag of pasta! I find there is also much less advertising compared to other loyalty schemes and it’s all in the app. The coupons are also pretty relevant as well - no doubt they monitor what you buy but they do then give you money off what you actually need (I buy a ton of fruit, ham etc for the kids and I always get a coupon for at least one of those items)Does anyone else get annoyed by Lidl Plus? Just wanted to have a rantI don't have Lidl Plus because I already have Tesco Clubcard on my phone and just don't want yet another app.
I'm in Ireland and lately I find that more and more products in Lidl are cheaper or two/three for a particular price if you have Lidl Plus, and you really have to read the sticker on the shelf closely or you get caught out at the till.
I didn't mind when it was a just few products but now it feels like it's half the goods, and it's becoming a dose to shop there.
I know it's capitalism but it feels wrong for a discount supermarket to be forcing the app on their customers.
I know I could just give in and get the app or go to Aldi up the roadso I'm lucky I have that choice but just wondered what you all think of Lidl Plus?
Those caramelised milk chocolate digestives are dangerous and Ihatelove whoever it was that brought them to my attention.
