They're ok i think, much better if they aren't straight out of the freezer. But would agree that they're not anything special
"They're ok" is the best compliment for them 😅 They're not terrible, but I won't be rushing out to get them again. I agree with leaving them out for a bit before eating them!

Not specific to Aldi / Lidl but does anyone know where I can get wholemeal English muffins? Aldi used to do them but seem to have stopped a while ago.

Morrisons sell them, I’ve only ever got them there. And they had them in mine this week son they're still a thing

The pistachio gelato in the cups I got from Aldi today weren't anything special tbh. The best part about them was Mr Duck getting far too excited about washing up the plastic cups they came in and adding them to the cool bag we keep on top of the fridge for the three or four times a year we have a picnic 😅

I usually keep some paper cups for this, but last year I forgot to buy more once we ran out and we ended up sharing a bottle of rose like some teenagers with a bottle of White Lightning 🤣🤣
I think Mr Duck might be my spirit animal 🤣

Still not managed to get the chicken garlic loaded dip so surviving on the Indian inspired one which I'm enjoying 😋

Our Lidl is having a refurb of sorts. Freezers all moved by tills & look really good, some fridges & non perishables moved about so takes longer to find a few things as not previously where you expected them.

What's most interesting is that we now have 2 sets of alarm barriers on entry, a scan your till receipt exit barrier & another alarm screen closer to staff incase you do managed to actually steal something.
I'm not complaining at all so long as less theft keeps prices low.

So we just got back from holidays, and my dad kindly did the weekly shop for us so we didn't come home to an empty fridge. Obviously I'm very thankful for that. I couldn't help but notice though that the expensive apples he bought are nowhere near as nice as the cheap Lidl ones I usually buy! Just goes to show that Lidl fruit and veg really are superior (imo) 🤣

I had the Aldi chicken Caesar loaded dip with tortilla chips for my tea, finished off with chocolate and hazelnut tiramisu.
Chicken was gorgeous, didn't notice any excess garlic as previously mentioned on here, and the dessert was really hazelnutty. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Agree. I only buy my tomatoes from Lidl even though I get a weekly Ocado and cycle home every day past a Waitrose. Lidl tomatoes are the absolute best.

At mine there are where the hummus and other dips are, tapas, potato salads, coleslaw etc.
I've only seen a label for the caesar one at mine though, dip itself wasn't there but they had other flavours 😅

Near the hummus, olives, picnic type bits
I went into mine again today and still nothing in there, no labels for them as that is where I looked for them and the girl told me they dont have them. I said earlier I went there to find them and nothing and still a week later there are none.

Honestly they are not in mine - I buy hummus and avocado a couple of times a week. I am not bothered by them now as I can make my own looking at the ingredients online.
