Had a lovely tea of fish, chips and mushy peas courtesy of Aldi.
Miles better than what I've had from the chip shop and I wasn't left with stomach ache and feeling slightly sick, so a win win all round. 😋😁

The new Aldi SS Mac and cheese ,( not the one with chrizio) is gorgeous.
Having it tonight with garlic bread and salad.

I bought the box of Turkish sweets a few weeks ago. Can’t remember if it was Aldi or Lidl. Big mistake!!
I scoffed them in a couple of days. No one else likes Turkish delight, so I had no choice😀

Earlier this year I bought some 'everything but the bagel' type seasoning from Aldi. At the time it was just in with the herbs and spices, I remember seeing it for ages after I bought it. Except now I've run out and it seems like it might have been a special buy, there's no sign of it in my local store any more. Kicking myself that I didn't buy more sooner!

Has anyone seen anything similar in other supermarkets? Failing which am going to have to try and make my own, as all the ones on Amazon are ridiculously expensive! 😐
I'm pretty sure it was a special buy

I saved this recipe a while ago for when I eventually run out:

I was in Lidl this morning, had a look at the limited edition bits in the bakery but the only thing that looked new was a honeycomb slice. Obviously bought one for market research purposes. Also won £10 off my next shop when I scanned the app and have a free bakery item to pick up next time in store so overall a successful shop!
Said honeycomb slice

I bought a pretzel puff in Lidl this morning and now I can never darken their doors again because I will have to buy at least 2 every time I go in, it was lovely.

I bought quite a lot of the Elemis dupes from Aldi to try , so far I have only used the marine oil , it’s so light but very moisturising, love it , I also bought the essence , day cream , cleanser and mask

Aldi hula hoops used to be made by hula hoops. I've had bags mixed up with branded hula hoops before. I don't shop in Aldi anymore as Lidl is much closer so this was a while ago. Over five years.
I remember that, I bought some and all the packets were branded but the outside bag was Aldi.

Popped into Lidl for some stuff today, especially as I needed guidance on the battered haddock I nicked off a relative who was storing 2 packs in my freezer. Oops one pack slipped down my gob 🤭😋
We were met by a scene of carnage.😲🤨 The place looked cleaned out including the bakery with items thrown all over the place.
I usually go in during the week when it is an oasis of calm and orderliness.
I was devastated to discover the rampaging mob had taken all the battered haddock and Birds Eye fish fingers 😭😭😭😭
Only thing I could find were the extra large battered haddock. I will report back on if these are nice.

Has anyone tried this from Aldi’s special buys??
I also have the karcher one and it’s honestly been invaluable over winters. Been living in a flat with no insulation and large, slanted velux windows. The temp regularly goes down to single figures indoors, difficult to rid the windows of heavy condensation without it running down the walls and onto the floor. Having the vacuum has made it infinitely easier to deal with. Seriously hoping I won’t be needing it so much in our next place though! 🤞

Thanks for the heads up, just bought thanks to you!

ETA and thanks of course to the original poster for the recommendation!
I think I had not better wait until Sunday and go when they open in the morning - would hate to miss it at 20p. :) Just finished up 1 jar on my salad, only 1 left.

Update; I’ve done some searching and I found this. So is it just a plain one and not the garlic one? If so my partner is now in my bad books on behalf of all of us garlic puff lovers 😤

I bought & £1 panettone & some Reese chocolates also £1 in a tube. There was 21 sweets in there compared to the tins reduced to £2 for approx 38 sweets.
I needed neither of these items but a reduction is a puller 🤣

Lidl have those conical shaped Bugle style crisps completely COVERED in chocolate at the moment.
These? I eat at least a packet a day when I'm in Finland. If it wasn't so far from payday I'd be going around and emptying the North East Lidl's of them.

DELICIOUS. £1.99 a packet.
