I think it’s an ad for a tv show. A couple knocking on a door and ‘Based on True Events’ appearing on screen. It’s been going on for about two months, it’s driving me mad. At first I was intrigued, now I’m just irritated, so I won’t be watching whatever show it is when it’s on.
This one, that I posted on the previous thread last August, is back! Just saw it on channel 4.bah???!

Who is this random woman for Booking.com? I know there are loads of random celebs I dont know, but who is this woman? She acts like she is famous...but Ive never seen her before!

Tina Fey books whoever she wants to be | Booking.com 2024 Big Game ad (youtube.com)

I assume she is an American celebrity, but why push her on British TV? When she doesnt really have a profile or that many programmes over here!
Tina Fey is a comedy goddess, probably more known to American audiences, but has done some big projects British audiences have had exposure to - Mean Girls, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30Rock.

The booking.com adverts make no sense full stop though. The Melissa McCarthy ones were just as bad.

does anybody understand the new andrex ad?
With the guy in the public toilet and the toilet roll he puts on top of the sink? Not a clue

The puppy is cute though. At least they brought back the puppy to these adverts, it’s a shame it’s in such an obscure advert

The Sky TV ad with Andrew Garfield. Ergh. It’s utter cringe.

If that is what it’s like having Sky, then nah, I’m good thanks.

The ad seems to bear no relation to what it’s advertising. It’s like they made a generic ad first and then decided what it was going to be for afterwards

There's an incredibly cheap looking advert on a loop on youtube featuring Alison Hammond for a maybelline lip product. Its awful, could easily be a cheap bingo app type ad.

The disney+ / uber one advert with robert de niro and that guy from boy in the striped pyjamas. The pretend awkwardness is cringe and it goes on forever.

The slogan is “for people who eat food and go places”… wow genius

Philips Lumea advert. I don't care if people choose to shave/wax/go natural in real life but everytime I get a hairy pit or crotch shoved in my face on the tv app, I recoil.
