Lazy men, fml ive had enough. So I have the kids all week trying to juggle working from home, home schooling and looking after a very disruptive toddler.
He does nothing in the week except moan how bored he is at work because its dead there. No cooking, cleaning or washing. Ive got the kids fed and bathed before he gets home.
This morning he decided to lay in untill 11. Ive got up, took the kids to the park come back and he's done fuck except make a mess. Confronted him about it and he just say omg I'm so selfish, the most selfish person in the work blah blah blah. And now he's fucked off out (to do his mate a favour from work) Let me to sort the kids again. Rant over 🤬

Ooh I like this thread. My moan (and just to say I love him dearly. I had a stroke earlier this year and he’s been my rock) is my partner is a hoarder. It hasn’t got to the stage you see on tv, but we live in a 3 bed house, just us as kids grown up, and every room plus garage and under stair cupboard is full. We had a new boiler last week and the fitter nearly died under massive boxes in the small bedroom. Full of utter crap! He refuses to throw anything. He’s got boxes and boxes of stuff. Broken tools, ripped tents, 8 full rucksacks etc. Won’t go into more detail as I’d be here all night. There is no more room in our house. I cannot make him part with anything. Don’t know if it’s my Virgo brain but I hate clutter. And I’m not saying it shouldn’t look like he lives here too, but when I try to Hoover it’s like the Crystal Maze. And he won’t stop buying neither.
It sounds awful but I’ve sometimes pictured leaving him so I can have calm and tidy and not fall over strips of metal in the hall or the 3 sewing machines plus reams of fabric. I daydream about a skip and charity shop run. I have asked him shall we have a clear out but he gets huffy. When I moved in with him I put my few boxes in the garage which is where they’ve stayed 9yrs on as there’s no room to empty them. His mum knows the score and she tries for me too but he just ignores her
As I say I love him deeply but it’s my 1 gripe and as I’m at home all day now I’m noticing it more and more
Cheers for reading

I left my job due to personal reasons in November. I've had numerous interviews since then and I haven't been successful. My next one is on 12th January and is a HR role, what I'm experienced in. My boyfriend has been really supportive up until now. For months he dismissed my building stress and said we'd be fine in January.

The past few days we've been shouting at each other, arguing and I've been in tears all evening because he wants me to start my own business. I've never done anything like this before but he thinks this will help me pay my share of the rent until I get a job. His idea is to make up some tat boxes and sell them on Facebook (we all know the kind) I refused because its not something I've ever done or will do, it's something EVERYONE is doing and I don't give a fuck if Sharon at work did it and made some cash, i'm not doing it. I want a stable income and I'm not wasting money on stuff I can't afford that might not even sell because its literal tat.

This was my point in one of our arguments and he came back at me with "nothings fucking working for you now is it?" and had a really smug, nasty grin on his face referring to the fact I've been rejected from lots of jobs. I had a bath, got dressed and went for a walk without saying a word to him. On my walk i rang my dad who's agreed to lend me money for rent (Saint 😇) so I came home and put the money in the bills account. Bf must've seen the Monzo notification and for some reason is now sulking in bed.

I can't be arsed with him thinking he's right all the time and knows everything. I've had a shit few months (as we all have) and I have been battling with newishly diagnosed BPD. I've run out of tablets I take and my prescription isn't going to be ready until tomorrow. I'm sick and tired of him doing nothing around the house either!!! I came back to our cats food open and left on the side dried jelly that ofc muggins here will clean up 🖕🏻😡😡😡
God, dump him lovely. He’s no support to you x

Why won't cyclists just move out of the damn way and go on the road ffs! I don't need some twat shooting past gobbing on the road next to me and leaving the pong of sweat trailing behind. Theeeeen if you mention it anywhere they have to all start jumping on you and be like wheh wheh wheh wheh cars. Nah piss off!

Cheers I needed that. I hope everyone has a good New Years and hope you all stay safe. xx
In my eyes cyclists can't win - they're a pain wherever they are 🙈 if I'm walking on the pavement i always nearly get mowed down by them and im in their way, but if I'm in my car and they're on the road then they are in my way 😂

My partner & I had a rocky (but deeply loving) relationship for years and finally split a year ago today. I’m 30, all of my friends are married and had children this year. I have a decent job, though I’m unhappy in it, and own my own home. I’ve only seen my parents this year, I moved in with them for a while in the first lockdown and visit every weekend.

I’ve tried dating apps but we are in a pandemic! and this may sound ridiculous, but the quality of men isn’t great near me 😂. I feel like I’m just treading water, I also didn’t get closure from my ex. We are trying to be friends which is kind of working, I feel very numb to the drama we had and I do enjoy talking with him, still.

I am under constant pressure from family and friends to marry and have children. I just don’t know how to do that right now but I would like to one day. I like my own company, actually I love it, and I don’t go out partying every weekend. I’m a recluse tbh and I’m not unhappy about it. I would like a man part time but I cant deal with family pressure. Due to COVID I only visit my parents so I feel a bit like a kid again, my life on pause.

Why do some women have to make EVERYTHING a competition? Why do they want to have the worlds worst birth? Or to brag they practically hate their husband? Do you get a medal for having the longest labour nowadays or something?

I asked my friend today if she’s doing anything for Valentine’s Day. “We don’t do anything we’ve been together 12 years why would we?” Which is basically a dig at me and my husband who have been together for only 5 years and obviously not as good as her. It’s pathetic.

Sent a screenshot to my friends WhatsApp group of a news article saying that pubs and restaurants could be open for food and drink outside from April, and said fingers crossed! One of my friends instantly replied “lol doubt it. We’ll probably be in lockdown for the rest of the year.”

I know we’re all fed up and lockdown seems never ending but can we at least be a little bit positive/hopeful?!

I’ve been struggling this week a lot and feel so lonely. I split up with my boyfriend in October (was with him over a year but lockdown affected his mental health issues a lot, then he was made redundant and we generally were not getting on). He refuses to talk to me and has cut me out of his life completely. I text his mum yesterday saying I hope she had a nice Christmas and how I hope 2021 will a better year for everyone, only for her to reply and tell me her husband died of Covid the week before Christmas. He was such a lovely man and I feel so sad for her and the family and it upsets me that my ex felt I didn’t need to know. I know it’s not about me and I’m not with him anymore so he doesn’t owe me anything but I felt so awful I’d sent such an insensitive message to his mum.

I’m 37 and now in a bubble with my parents which I’m very grateful for but sometimes it makes me feel more alone as all of my friends have partners and families of their own and there’s me hanging around with a couple of pensioners 😂 (they’re actually quite cool for their age and not that old but still). I can’t date as it’s lockdown and I hated online dating with a passion anyway, plus I don’t feel emotionally ready/ happy in myself but feel my chances of finding love and starting a family of my own are slipping away; yet everyone around me is having babies left, right and centre. My friend announced her 4th pregnancy just before Xmas and said she was getting on and doesn’t want to be having another when she’s 40. Yeah heaven forbid 🙄 And my other friend is pregnant again, a year after having her first and I just feel like I have nothing in common with them anymore and that I can’t confide in them as I don’t want them to get fed up of my whinging and make them feel awkward. And when I do speak up they just keep telling me how strong I am and how I have a nice life and go on nice holidays (not this year obv) but I’m fed up of having to be strong and I only go away on nice holidays because that is the only thing I have to look forward to and even then I spend my time wishing I was with someone who loved me. I’ve pretty much been single all my life, the few relationships I have had haven’t worked out and I’m so ready for my chance to settle down and have the things I want most from life and I don’t see why everyone else around me gets that opportunity and I don’t. Then on the other hand I hate the thought of coming across as desperate and like I need a man to make me happy, so I refuse to settle for anyone just to say I’m with someone but then worry I’m never going to find what I want. I sound like I’m having such a tantrum right now 🤦‍♀️ I’m trying each day to be grateful for what I have but I’m finding it so hard to keep positive and not compare myself to everyone else.

I have a decent job and lucky to be working but there’s literally no work to do so I’m stuck home everyday without any interaction and totally bored. I went for a walk this afternoon, got back at 5 and thought thank god the day’s nearly over and I just hate that I’m wishing my life away like this. I know this is very self-indulgent and there are people in much worse situations but I can’t seem to snap out of it this week. I think like everyone, I was so focused on making it to Christmas, and being able to spend time with my sister and niece, that the sudden tier 4 changes just threw me off balance.

Well done if you’ve read this far 😂 And thank you for this thread. Actually feels good to organise my thoughts and get it all out there!!
I relate so much to this. Literally echoes my entire situation and feelings 😬

Fed up of this lockdown like everyone else. I live on my own and it's just so draining, I am trying to put on a brave face but it's just so hard. I have tried to reach out but at the same time I don't wanna lay my problems on other people and feel needy but I am just so sad.

Everyone comes to me with their problems.. big or small and I will do everything in my power to help that person but I feel like I don't get same back from anyone, not that I expect it at all. I just give more love than I receive

I am also sick of being single and wasting time on people who hurt me, I don't know if I am too nice or too gullible but I just want to find someone and settle down and feel like it will never happen.....

I want to quit my job but my husband won’t let me. It’s been triggering my PTSD I’ve been off sick more this year than I have worked, I know I’m on my last legs from the employers side (ie they are fed up with me being off etc) I’m trying my hardest.

I am not *allowed* to quit because money and my husband has taken over my finances by changing my password and transferring MY money into our joint account (he said I spend too much) when I’m reality I bought myself an £11 book for Christmas and I bought my family and his family all the Christmas gifts and I have a spreadsheet for budgeting. However he can spend his cash Willy nilly on his new “hobby” of investing!
this is not acceptable and this is a form of financial abuse. Your husband cannot control your choices over money or how or when you work. please know this is not ok and you have done absolutely nothing wrong. do you have anyone close - fam or friends, that you can talk to? What happens if you challenge him, does he get violent? Off the top of my head I don’t know many domestic abuse charities but I believe women’s aid might be on, are you able to call them and ask for some advice? This is not a healthy way to live x

My rant is about feeling “stuck” in life. We are in lockdown and obviously can’t do anything much at the moment. I’m not long after finishing treatment for cancer. I thought I’d feel so positive and upbeat about starting a new year but instead I feel scared and stuck in this goldfish bowl of just getting up, Netflix, eating and going to bed and then on repeat. My husband is off work and is great but I feel guilty keeping him here when he should be going back to work and socialising. I want to feel excited for the future but I just can’t. My friends were great when I was going through treatment but now that I’ve finished they just think that’s it done and finished with. They complain so much to me about lockdown and not being able to do things but I feel angry in a way as I’d love to be going out to work (I know this is limited for a lot of people right now) and not being able to do things they’ve wanted to do like weekends away etc.
I was so excited for the new year and now I’m just feeling stuck in this same goldfish bowl of seeing no one and doing nothing

Bit of a boring one today but I really miss my morning commute. Its only a 20 min motorway journey but I'm alone in my car, music full blast singing my heart out most days. I feel so free when I drive at motorway speeds and sing (badly) to my heart's content.

I wanted to go for a nice long drive but I'm also trying to be more environmentally conscious and not waste diesel for no reason other than to sing. I'll probably give in soon.

My dad's dog had to be put to sleep this morning after 13 1/2 years together. Because they're in tier four he wasn't allowed to be with him when it happened and he's wracked with guilt because of that. It's only the second time I've ever heard him cry and there's nothing that I can say or do to help him.
Yknow what I love about dogs? They love you no matter what, even in death. Dogs always forgive.

My dog passed in February and I am so grateful we could be there and so wracked with guilt that we had to say goodbye.

My home sale is about to collapse and there’s nothing I can do about it. There are so many people involved with solicitors, managing agents, estate agents, the nuisance buyer, and no one is talking to each other. It’s making my hair fall out and I’ve not slept properly in weeks. I’ve never felt so stressed in my life and I can control any of it. Raaaaaa.

I have a whinge.
Went back to work last week after a year off unpaid (having ivf then the pandemic hit), my boss has always treat my differently to the rest of the team (far more tetchy and demanding with me).
I had requested 4 days at school as a key worker for our child however when boris announced the lockdown my boss rang and said I would only be doing1 day in the office due to distancing so I cancelled 3 of the 4 days with the school.
gone into work yesterday and she was ‘on one’ - shouted over the desks at me ‘I need you in 4 days a week from now’ so I’ve rang childs school and they don’t have the capacity until after half term as everyone is bubbled up.

Boss has moved me to a different building (same site) To work - a break out area to be precise so she can have more space in the office, it doesn’t even have a computer chair - so uncomfortable & I’m 11 weeks pregnant (which she knows about).

I’m absolutely furious about it :(

Need to ring her today to tell her I can only do 2 days on site until after half term & that I need a computer chair provided.

a colleague pulled me yesterday and commented that she treats me differently (the way she speaks, demands etc).

We’ve been so desperate for this baby - my last one and I feel like
I’m going to spend my pregnancy totally isolated & miserable. Rant over (unless she’s a twat when I ring this morning in which case I’ll be back on)

My moan is that my friend constantly texts me when her husband is away (armed forces) saying she’s lonely/bored, and I’m busy working so text her when I’m free. When the husband comes back , understandably she spends time with him/her kids but if I needed her to chat (been feeling particularly low the past couple of days) she wouldn’t reply. Yet when it’s the other way round, the nice person I am replies and offers help. I just don’t like the unevenness of our friendship. Haven’t seen her in 2 years (she lives in Scotland) yet she was down near me in Summer visiting family, didn’t tell me she was visiting my way or offer to meet up (socially distanced of course).

I dunno it just upsets me I guess.
Bloody hell, I thought was aimed at me for a moment... I didn’t go on holiday this year, so I reckon I’m safe

You absolutely shouldn’t feel pressured into providing her support when she doesn’t do the same for you. Armed forces or not, she should be returning the favour when you need it. She isn’t a good friend and doesn’t deserve your care and kindness.

On a note from that, I’d really like DH to come home now. Christmas without him was shite, even if we did get a video call. The kids missed him, and were all upset. Having New Year’s Eve on my own is a shit thought. New lockdown as a lone parent is shit. I’d really like an hour child free to just have a bath and a glass of wine, and not have an empty bed every night, or sat watching TV by myself.
