I think it's so satisfying how the curlers glide across the ice. I want to go out on some of their shoes and go glide
Ok, I have to be fair to Ilia Quadgod - as much as I didn't feel his skating vibes wise (even in the programmes he did well), and he simply annoys me (sorry, can't help it) seeing him now after the competition enjoying it all despite the shocking result makes me look at him a bit warmer. I saw him wearing his team competition gold medal for interviews, watching other athletes and cheering for them, talking about what is going through his mind, grateful for the support and love people give him, and that he will learn from it - he seems to treat it all in quite mature way for a 21 yo who called himself a Quadgod, I will give him that. Still not love him, but I actually expected him to throw a tantrum and hide so I set a low bar for him to surprise me positively

I was rooting for Canadian women, but the second US equalised with two minutes until the regular time ends I knew US will take it in overtime. It often works like that, in many sports. that someone is already sure of the win, the opponent somehow survives ad gets extra boost of faith and energy. But I have to say, I watched 3 or 4 matches in women's tournament and I enjoyed them all as they are a bit slower than men's and easier to follow. also these women are fierce, it is very cool to watch, I feel like skating like hockey players can must be a very freeing feeling
Shame Petrosian didn't land that quad. I was hoping she would since she's the only one to try it here.

Quite a nasty fall for Canadian Sharpe in the women's halfpipe, knocked unconscious, big delay for medics etc, stretchered off managing a wave.
Watched on TNT & the commentary isn't a patch on Ed & Tim.
Nipped over to the curling & realised I had too much Steve Cram (he makes slot of mistakes) commentary earlier during the women's game so switched over to TNT. Much better.
The athletes provide the vision but the commentary really adds to the experience.

is it true Alysa doesn’t get much ice coverage? I’ve seen sooo many people complaining about it

I can’t lie Alysa’s performance was great I’m not sure if that can be topped for me
I’m not sure if that can be topped for meAw, shame for Sakamoto. I'd have liked to see her get gold in her last Olympics.
I think I remember the commentators saying she wanted a silver at the very least. I feel like a lot of the tears are mostly about this being the end of her career rather than the medals
loved Alysa but Nakai seems to have been done completely dirty, even the commentators are baffled at how she has placed so low

Ami’s reaction was adorable. Did she not realise at first that she was on the podium? 🥹 I really thought she would mark higher. Incredible achievement at 17, I hope we see lots more from her! Alysa’s performance was fantastic though, it’s like she doesn’t get nervous or feel pressure at all…or is just extremely good at dealing with it! Everything just flowed like she was in her own world. I did think she somewhat lacked a bit of humility when she came off the ice after her skate but I guess when you can skate like that you know you’re good 
Yeah, it feels like they made a mistake with her marks as she should have been higher than 9th in the free skate.
