Ski mountaineering update: I am obsessed now with the rules - when you change between stages the poles need to lay on the ground - otherwise time penalty. Also apparently there is a penalty when these covers for skis they take off before downhill (I don't know english word for them) are not fully hidden in that pocket on their front. what is this sport, I love it.

Edit: I’ve seen a close up of the skis and it looks like the tape is on the bottom, which makes a lot more sense!

Ski mountaineering is a nice addition to the games but I think the race needs to be longer as there wasn't much in way of opportunities for overtaking from the heats I saw.

Yes, I think it's too short as well. It should be more on a par with cross country.

Absolutely, I loved it but it seemed so short compared to ski cross or biathlon and it made it look less serious while it isn't.
Just checked 3rd place match in women's hockey and I was lucky to tune in just for overtime, it looked so cool
They could just jump over the fence and they are at the finish with a lot less hassle
