Vance is even more of a c*nt than Trump.

we have just witnessed the US declaring that they are allied with Russia. Russia no longer thinks that the US will use nuclear deterrents to defend its allies. A dangerous time for the world…

Vance scares the crap out of me. Just watching the interaction earlier, it seems that it wouldn’t take much for him to manipulate Trump by stroking his ego. Trump was just sitting back letting him do the talking. I think he’s a really dangerous man (well they both are) and if anything incapacitates Trump, then Vance will have free rein. The press conference was terrifying to watch.

Vance is heavily aligned with Musk and the fascist ideologues pulling the strings. Evil little wick and extremely dangerous.

I agree. Their disgust was palpable.

Still waiting for Starmer to comment - several other European leaders have done so already.
He put out a statement saying he retained "unwavering support for Ukraine".

Also, if anyone is like me and can't listen to the Orange Dorito for more than a minute without wanting to throw something at the TV. If anyone is still supporting him now and thinking he will take the US back to the 'glory days' they need their bloody heads examined...t

The guy who asked Zelensky "why don't you wear a suit" was Marjorie Taylor-Greene's boyfriend, a maga nut, only there because Trump banned AssociatedPress from White House meetings.

Christ what type of person goes there, MTG I mean, she is the thickest and the vilest of the vile. “Peach tree dish” will never not be funny though.

Trump is panicking because his desperation for the Nobel Peace Prize is so obvious and his behaviours to get it so cringeworthy and toxic. He needs reassurance in shedloads and his anxiety is palpable. His sycophantic entourage is weak and pathetic.

If the Pope dies this weekend Trump will be enraged that his thunder has been stolen.

On another note, I have a suggestion. US should pay back all the countries which have suffered due to its unending, often covert, interference in their politics and leadership since the end of the Second World War. The people of Chile suffered for years under Pinochet, how about the US pays them compensation. Too many other examples to mention really but if that’s the game they are playing then they owe millions if not billions of people comoensation.

That claim of hers being the sort of reality rewrite you'd normally expect from Moscow, perhaps Kremlin emulation needs its own term, 'kremulation', congratulations to the whitehouse press secretary for getting its first usage.

Somehow this doesn't include Israel. Their hypocrisy knows no limits.

Looking back on the deliberately-public ambush, I think this has turned out just how Trump wanted.

At first he was talking about swanning in and taking 500 billion dollars worth of stuff as free money under the guise of repayment, but people kept fact-checking him (whether he took that in or just got annoyed is somewhat moot now I think) on the amount spent/given, and then a load of other people started telling him that maybe there wasn't that much in the ground, and it's not so easy as just shovelling it into a wheelbarrow, and the profit doesn't start rolling in for at least a few years, and he was starting to realise it wasn't going to be a rapid money printing exercise.

Then add to that the reality that it could not be a simple surrender-and-hand-over deal but needs a framework first and it's now become far too much effort.

That's when he needed a way out, and up steps Vance - whether prompted or just unable to keep his mouth shut - to be his smug patronising self righteous twit self (helping Trump to escalate and be on a roll).

I see remarks that Zelensky shouldn't have risen to the bait and to an extent I wouldn't necessarily disagree but what the duck is a vice president underling doing having a go at a visiting head of state? This was not some random misunderstanding.

As for Trumps remarks as he was buggering of to play golf for the weekend... WTAF

I think it was definitely planned, and more for the Russian audience than anything else. *tin foil hat time* I think Russia and the US have come to some sort of arrangement over how to divvy up much of the world. Trump being an idiot, thinks that getting Greenland, Panama, etc, is a decent recompense for Europe and (perhaps) much of the Middle East.
