God it was so painful to watch that obvious set-up in the Oval Office. Zelenskyy was lured into a trap, this was always what they were going to do. It's so insulting and offensive the way they were speaking to him, they could never handle what he's had to over the last three years. I almost hate Vance more the way that little dipshit decided to unnecessarily chime in. I really, really, hope Starmer says something strongly in support of Ukraine this evening, and I really think the King shoud rescind (or never follow up!) his invitation.

Apologies if this was discussed on the last thread (stopped following, life intervened lol but I did skim and the level of discussion and debate was excellent as usual) but - I am so, so pleased that Trump has pledged to end transgender surgeries on minors. Under Biden, 14,000 children have had breasts amputated, penises removed, puberty blocked all directly resulting in a myriad of future health problems. Some of the deaths have been tragic especially Griffen Sivret who died a few months ago after several years of pure pain.

The UK seems to have decisively turned away from this horrible medical abuse of (often autistic, traumatised and/or mentally ill) children under the very sensible Wes Streeting (who I would love to see as a future Labour leader I think he's excellent) and I really hope Trump does what he says he'll do in this area.

I also hope to see Planned Parenthood return to its original role as facilitating reproductive health, it is needed in the US more than ever. Over the past 5 years it has put more resources into puberty blockers than it has reproductive health, which is shameful given that Roe v Wade was overturned on their watch and they barely made a peep about it.

We should be withdrawing the state visit invitation immediately. Disgraceful behaviour from Trump and his wee lap dog.

If that disgusting display didn’t demonstrate once and for all that Putin has Trump by the balls then i don’t know what would.

Am I misunderstanding this?
Trump got Mexico to send the same 10,000 troops to the border that Biden already got them to commit. Trump got Canada to agree to the same measures to fight fentanyl that Biden already got them to agree to six weeks ago. Is that right?
Winning bigly or what. 🙄

Yep Trump is barely above an idiot. Yet somehow, someway he has taken what little brain power he has and turned it into a billion dollar fortune, pausing only along the way to sleep with a litany of beautiful women, and produced a number of attractive offspring. He then pivoted to another successful career in reality TV, and then a third successful career in politics, where he has established an army of millions of fanatical followers who would probably run through a brick wall for him. And at the last election attracted 74 million votes, more than the entire population of the UK. He’s about to start his second spell in the highest post it’s possible to get to in his third career. And all this based on so though an IQ.

And here’s us, with our dazzling insight and forensic analysis reduced to raging about it on Tattle Life. Go figure!

At least you have your principles?
He graduated without honours from Wharton and one of his professors said “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had”.
He repeatedly accused Barack Obama ( who graduated with honours magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and in the top 10 per cent of his class ) of being a “terrible student”. He consistently demanded that Obama release his transcripts while refusing to release his own. In fact, Trump threatened to sue his former colleges if they ever revealed his grades.
So clearly a bigly genius. 🙄

Im not sure how “sleeping with a litany of beautiful women” qualifies him for anything, let alone the Presidency. He left his first wife, who said he raped her, for his second wife who he then left for his third wife, who he cheated on repeatedly, with a porn actress amongst others. Lucky Melania. He also commented on dating his own daughter. Oh, and he’s also a convicted rapist, who has boasted about grabbing women by their genitals.

He’s the only President in the history of the country to have been indicted on criminal felony charges. 91 of them.

Making comments about other people’s principles when you’re prepared to defend a man like that is a hell of a choice. Still, I’m sure all those lovely cheap eggs will help. 🙄

It's not really protocol by ex-Presidents but they should be speaking out about Trump & what's going on.
Protocol went out the window with Trump.anyway.
I saw someone on Twitter yesterday asking where Kamala Harris was and why she wasn’t doing anything.
Err…basically because it’s not her responsibility since a bunch of wankers refused to vote for her and wanted a deranged rapist instead. 🤷‍♀️

Could you point me in the way of a neutral outlet for this? I'm looking online and it's coming from places like Fox News and the New York Post. I'm not saying it's true or false, but they're not news outlets I'd rely on to give the full picture. Same for if the Daily Mail printed it.

also, puberty blockers are also used in children with precocious puberty (very very early puberty) so I would imagine those cases fall under that 14,000 number. For what I've read about puberty blockers in general, the risks of using them (as they're not permanent) are probably the same as the risks I and many women were susceptible to when our doctors put us on hormonal birth control aged 13.

Transgender surgeries and hormone blockers. Hormone blockers and puberty blockers are not neutral interventions. Side effects include anorgasmia, infertility, osteoporosis and neurological damage. All of these side effects are permanent. So called puberty blockers are rarely used for precocious puberty now after a class action was brought by a group of women who had been prescribed them for precocious puberty and were left with permanent disabilities and chronic health conditions. (The tiny number of kids with precocious puberty was stripped out for the purposes of the study reported by Reuters tho)

It amounts to medical abuse of a very vulnerable cohort (gender confused children). It would be a huge win for child protection if it was stopped.

It looked like a complete set-up.
I'm sure the plan all along was to blame Zelensky for negotiations breaking down. But since they did it in full view of the cameras, I think most sensible people will be able to understand just who is at fault.

One would hope that every European leader is contacting Zelensky today saying "Fuck Trump and his bullying tactics- we will support you." but they won't.

The cheek of Vance saying "You haven't said thank you today." Ukraine have repeatedly thanked allies for their support, but also let's not pretend allies have offered support for entirely aulteristic reasons. It's been tactical because no-one wants madman Putin to run amock.

The US supported Ukraine out of motivation for their own security interests, and now Vance is practically demanding that Zelensky gives him a public blowjob for it? Nah....piss off you cheeky fucker.

Honestly, fair play to Zelensky to telling them to stick their deal up their ass. It was a greedy offer anyway- expecting Ukraine to sign over much of the future profit from their mineral reserves etc.

Oh and while I'm hear I cannot bear how Trump repeatedly shouts over people and doesn't let them speak. Bully.

The left are very outraged which means the correct decisions are being made 😌
Do you actually think that someone has to be “left” to think that having a rapist in the White House, an Attorney General accused of sex trafficking and under investigation by the ethics committee, and a conspiracy theorist running the Health Department might not be the greatest idea in the world?

Vance is even more of a c*nt than Trump.

we have just witnessed the US declaring that they are allied with Russia. Russia no longer thinks that the US will use nuclear deterrents to defend its allies. A dangerous time for the world…
Vance scares the crap out of me. Just watching the interaction earlier, it seems that it wouldn’t take much for him to manipulate Trump by stroking his ego. Trump was just sitting back letting him do the talking. I think he’s a really dangerous man (well they both are) and if anything incapacitates Trump, then Vance will have free rein. The press conference was terrifying to watch.

He had no choice. Biden realises that no one president is bigger than the democratic process. Trump lost fairly last time and incited an insurrection. He won fairly, this time. That’s what democracy is - the people get what they vote for. For good or bad….

Why do Trump supporters always paint him like he’s some kind of victim? He constantly lies. The main problem with him is that he is a fantasist who lives in a world of magical thinking . Black becomes white. Up becomes down and so on. Covid was ‘going away’ 6 weeks after it started.

The supporters are the same, now. And that’s where we get into dangerous 1984 doublethink territory. I don’t know why people are theorising about what he will do in America, now as though it’s some kind of revolutionary new government. It will be the same as it was last time but worse, probably since he’s surrounded by MAGA people.
---
He doesn’t need to do this. He already IS powerful and has been his entire life.
Didn’t he run all of his businesses into the ground? He just happened to inherit his father’s fortunes.

I’m sickened and disgusted. It’s hell going through this again only this time I’m 8 years older, not as healthy, and the maga moron has no adults in the room to stop him. I’m so tired of him, of his face, his disgusting voice, his lies, his cruelty, his racism, his greed, and his shitty wife and children. And btw, all his children are butt ugly without plastic surgery, veneers, etc. Including Ivanka.
Looks certainly aren't everything, but I always thought it ironic that for all his crowing about having wonderful genes, his kids combined barely have enough chin to make one. It's like the opposite of the Hapsburg jaw.

I'm plumbing new depths of disgust and hatred with these cunts. This feels very ominous. As always, Trump is projecting when he accuses Zelensky of risking world war 3.

Embarrassing from that idiot Vance when Zelensky asked if he'd been to Ukraine to see the devestation and the lap dog had to admit he'd seen it on the TV. Fucking morons.
