The way that Trump and Musk speak to people is despicable. They are like a pair of playground bullies, enabling their dumbass supporters to think its ok to behave in the same way. Sucking up to the likes of Putin whilst ridiculing and trying to strong-arm anyone with less money or power than them 🤬

There have actually been cases in the US where wealthy businessmen charged with financial irregularities have agreed to a plea bargain as long as they were described as billionaires regardless of what the investigation revealed. Obviously Musk has the money but for smaller fish the status of being a billionaire is more important than the financials.

I find most of these stories are more like PR. I'm getting fed up of politics now you can't believe anything anyone says.
It's much ado about nothing there's far to many psychopaths in power and it's about ego's, money and power nad not common sense.

As far as I'm aware the email itself doesn't include the threat of 'resignation-by-silence' but then it doesn't have to because the threat has already been made.

Is the OPM even allowed to send these out without notice or consultation? Because although there are places that do ask their staff to summarise their week's activity, imposing such a requirement would surely be considered a significant change to working and/or contract conditions, or do those not require any notice in the US?

I think many of the actions they have taken firing people have been illegal and there are already multiple filings in courts, shouldn’t imagine they care too much about a few more; of course, the costs of the counsels for the government will be paid for by the taxpayer, very efficient 🙄

To be honest, I would be screwed. If I get an email and it's not from my managers, a colleague or a client, it doesn't get looked at. I'm too busy doing my actual work to read all the corporate suff that gets sent out. Elon's message would get lost amongst the other 500 "unread" emails in my inbox.
