Mine was with Jet2 next month and they announced today that they are canceling all hols and flights until June 23rd so that’s me not going away 🙁
Me too, it's my birthday today - Happy Birthday to me from Jet2 😂 Opened my presents, my sister got me a beautiful beach set to take 😭

We have moved our cancelled 2020 holiday to the same time this year. Greece in September so I'm really hoping it goes ahead. I know there are much bigger issues in the world, but I really need this holiday and I'll be devastated if it doesn't go ahead.

The travel industry are protesting at Westminster today. They must be getting the hint that this control for us mere everyday folk can not continue. Nice to see that celebs and politicians are able to get away whilst we are held in by obsence PCR testing costs. Spain are offering them for free!!! Clearly not mates with Wankcock 😂

Just got back from Ireland. Airports busy both our end and in Ireland. No one check covid vaccine certificates however upon check in they had to be uploaded. Also had to fill out a passenger locator form for in Ireland and again no one checked this either.
Simple and straightforward travel.

Just returned from Greece can't believe how easy it actually was. Fab holiday :)

So looking at going Italy now I think at the end of September if they will let us in without the quarantine. But if it stays on amber a test is needed in the way home does anyone know how to book a test abroad any sites to look on?
Its so easy. Most chemists are doing them x

Had two holidays cancelled due to Covid (Florida and Amsterdam) and still waiting for a refund from one. Won't be booking anything until I know there's a high chance it will actually go ahead. Although I HATE not having anything to look forward to! :(

Slightly off-topic, but looking at these posts so far, I never realised Florida was such a popular place!

Have never been, but I wonder what the great appeal is?
Florida is absolutely great. Tampa is fab. If you get chance visit Disneyland, and allow yourself time to hire a car and just drive around. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, anywhere - you can't go wrong. Great weather, gigantic food portions and wonderful shops, not to mention the beautiful beaches, clear blue sea. Oh, just book me on the next flight. 🤣

I booked my time off work 3 weeks off but my work protocol is we have to get a pcr test 2 days after getting back regardless even if it’s green list. But I can go away for 11days and still isolate for 10days so I think I should be fine not to get the 2 day test. Been doing so much overtime I just need a break even if I just go alone to an all inclusive hotel and do nothing the whole time, just sit in the sun all day, eat, sleep repeat

Not if you're fully jabbed. Masks on the plane and then test once when you're back and one lateral flow 48 hours before returning. Other than that you're free to enjoy your holiday.
Exactly. A tiny bit more admin on the way out and return but other than that all normal. In southern Spain right now. Glorious I can’t deny it 👍🏼🥰

We took a chance and booked a flight to Cyprus a few weeks ago ( it was a use it or lose it type voucher with BA) in the hope the world would be healed by July.
Imagine our excitement when Cyprus announced they WILL be accepting tourists after June . .
We'll both be vaccinated by then so looks promising.
We cracked on and booked our accommodation, choosing a week in a fairly busy part and then a 2nd week in a quieter part.
Good job too as since checking a fortnight later, both places are now fully booked and prices have more than doubled!!
Im so excited to get away . .
We had 3 trips cancelled last year.
Morocco, Croatia and Thailand.

I hope everyone gets the trips theyve planned,
Its been a hell of a year!!

I agree!! I work in the industry and to say we are all worried is an understatement, I wish more people like you understood! We need to get back to normality with travel 😢
I used to and I have friends who still do. Looking at photos and videos from the G7 where they’re all up close after flying in from various countries is sickening. The cost of tests here in the UK is a f’ing joke when it’s free in France or €39 in Germany for example. I really feel for you.

Hi I was wondering how you will prove your double jabbed to go on holiday, not to derail but my Covid denier neighbours (who are into everything) and refused jabs are now saying they have paid £50 for a ‘fake letter’.
Surely it’s going to be electronic as there is going to be so much room for fraud, sorry for the rant I’m so angry listening to what they have said 🤬
That is ridiculous. You have to show a QR code generated by the NHS app. I think if you aren’t double jabbed you have to show a negative PCR which also has a digital code on it which you submit to each country before you go. It’s just hugely risky to try and fake it. Hopefully they get caught 🙄
