My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Venice for my 30th. He’s booked it for New Year so hopefully it will go ahead but we can move it if not.

Also hoping to have a honeymoon of some sort I wouldn’t mind if it was somewhere nice in England. Then do our big dream Honeymoon next year or the year after.

Hope you all get your hols this year 😊 I think it’s nice to have a bit of hope or something to look forward to anyway

We've just returned from Tenerife and it was so good to be away - the weather was incredible, so hot and not a drop of rain.

We're hoping for Italy in a month or two as well.

I don’t see the point of a “holiday” at this point in time, you have to get jabbed, wear masks and then quarantine. It’s hardly relaxing imo, better off saving money and going camping in the countryside with loved ones. Make the most of the nice weather we’re having lol.
Not if you're fully jabbed. Masks on the plane and then test once when you're back and one lateral flow 48 hours before returning. Other than that you're free to enjoy your holiday.

Rich pensioners/retired people can go all over as they won't be phased by quarantining

I booked Lanzarote for August, before Covid19 was considered too much of a problem.
I really hope we can go. We have daily entry to a water park as part of the deal.
We'd just got back from another Canary Island when I booked it. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the chaos that was coming to us all!
Kids say they don't want to go abroad the year after, they want caravans or lodges with hot tubs..What?! Are they mine? 😂

Flying home from Croatia today, been a lovely change but got a bit bored the last couple of days as I'm here on my own. I want a European city break next if possible, at the beginning of December.

News today is that the con that is PCR testing when returning to the UK is due to be scrapped for double jabbed travellers from green & amber list countries.

I’m taking with a huge pinch of salt as this is the conservative government we are talking about - the one that is giving NHS staff a pay rise from their increased NI contribution 😉🙄
They should do away with all testing requirements, doesn't make any sense any more. Covid is in every country and it's here to stay

HAHAH OMG are you my husband, we are going to go CPH in Nov and Krakow in spring. The reason we are going to CPH in Nov instead of spring is purely because of price, the hotel is cheaper in Nov than next spring.
Booked for Copenhagen for 1st December for 3 nights. Flights only £39 and booked cancellable hotel. I decided on Copenhagen as I'll be going on my own and seems more suited to solo travellers x

I am going to have a couple of UK holidays this year, I usually go abroad around 3 times a year. I need something definite to look forward to, I have a stressful job and worked throughout and am desperate for a break.

Annoyingly I can see a load of travel corridors being set up over the next few months between other countries with no restrictions. The UK will get left behind because of the restrictions we're under and our silly traffic light system.

I went a bit mad when Boz announced the roadmap out of this hellish existence and booked so much!

There is a lovely country park type holiday park an hour from us that has lodges with hot tubs, so we booked there for the the long bank holiday weekend at end of April.
Week in Lanzarote booked for September
Week Great Yarmouth with our god-daughters in October
And then we went a bit OTT And booked 10 days all inclusive 5 star in Turkey for next April. It was actually a total bargain - £440 each!

I can't decide which I am most excited about!!!

Slightly off-topic, but looking at these posts so far, I never realised Florida was such a popular place!

Have never been, but I wonder what the great appeal is?
I’m a big Disney fan, but also a big fan of theme parks, American food and holidays where you don’t have to think at all 😂 so Florida encapsulates all that for me really.

If you stay on site at Disney you really don’t have to think about anything the whole time you’re there as it’s all done and that for me is just a nice break from having a million things in my head. Totally takes you out of it and it’s like being a kid again in that aspect - no responsibilities except having fun. I go back every year just for that feeling tbh 😂

(No kids - I’d imagine with kids it’s different and better in some ways but not others!)

Yup, I have up months ago - got staycations booked instead not worth the uncertainty
Me too. 3 staycations booked and looking forward to them. Even if weather not great, it will be good to have a change of scenery from these 4 walls !

When does everyone think they will allow international travel again and open up the air corridors?? I just feel like this year is a write off again 🤦🏼‍♀️
It’s only still January! We are doing well with vaccines and the rest of the world is doing them! Positive positive thinking!!
