I was speaking to a pro Trump fanatic on Facebook and they were shocked that I was questioning the merch that they have. They were asking why I don’t pay attention, every political party has merch and I said I’m from the U.K., it’s just not done here and they were aghast that we didn’t have a similar thing.
Imagine anyone walking down the street in a Labour tracksuit or a Conservative hat? All the communities would join together to call them knobs!

I've seen a couple of people on Instagram with vote Corbyn tshirts, tory bleep necklaces and Jeremy necklaces so I suppose that's similar and I think they look a bit twattish!

I would say the majority of my neighbors own guns. They think I'm the crazy one not having one to protect myself. I remind them of the crazy nutter that broke into a couple's home a mile from this neighborhood, stole their guns, kidnapped them at gunpoint (yanno, with those guns they had in their house to protect themselves from crazy nutters), and drove them to waste ground, tortured them, murdered them, cut them up in pieces, put them in bin bags, and dumped them. Yup. Those guns sure did protect them and their home. An extreme example about why gun ownership is useless, but still true. (I can send people the news story if they need to verify it's true)

How hard is it to change the Amendments to reflect current times and why don't they do it? I don't know enough about America to know if this is even possible as it seems too easy to say it if no one has done it yet?

This is utterly embarrassing. How has Trump not been removed from office he is clearly unwell. It's like watching one of my kids lose at a board game ?!?

Yet everything else still being the same but him winning he would have been declaring how this was a fair election, the fairest election ever, America would never have had an election fairer than this one. He’s embarrassing himself.

Even if he wins now how could anyone excuse that kind of behaviour? I am so confused by the whole thing!

Waking up and seeing the Trump lead in Georgia and Pennsylvania reduce so significantly with there still a fair chunk of votes remaining to be counted in those states.

Well, it’s clear why Trump is suing to stop counting in Georgia and Pennsylvania... yet not Arizona.

Disgusting that his campaign is accusing the other side of cheating. He’s literally saying “that’s me got enough, stop counting the MILLIONS of legally cast ballots of citizens of this country. I’ve won”

It's one rule for him and another for everyone else. His supporters just follow everything he says blindly - it's happened repeatedly since he joined office.

If Biden wins, it's a fix. If he wins, it's a fair election. It makes no sense but I don't think anything has with this man - I don't know how he does it. His base don't care about any of the problems as long as they get to wave their maga flags and tell Biden he's a socialist (which he isn't)

Perfectly said. I would be shitting myself if I was one of the officials inside counting ballots. You'd worry you wouldn't get out of the building alive.
I saw that the police were immediately on the scene when they first announced that people were gathering to protest but, I'm not sure that will do anything to ease tensions if things go off.

Yes I'm seeing those figures too. I'm also reading that:

Pennsylvania 20 points expected to go to Trump

North Carolina 15 points look like they will go to Trump

Georgia 16 points, looking very close, but if Trump gets them then everything will depend on

Nevada 6 points, also looking close

So it's still either of them could win

Almost all this would have been avoidable if they chose a decent opposition and a clear winner would have been declared shortly after voting closed.

Agree as well - I think the US used to be one of the best countries in the world (or it seemed that way) but it's full of racism, and corporations have all the power. If you're rich (and white), it's probably a great place to live still.

The attitudes out there are just crazy and when you add in the guns and the racist angry rhetoric being peddled everywhere along with their healthcare shambles - it's a place with a lot of problems.

The fact Trump has managed to get away with all his nonsense just says it all really - when he mocked a disabled reporter, or had his pussy comment leaked, it should have been over but he managed to win power and has been trampling all over everything ever since

Watching CNN at the moment - it's all so close - why cant they all count quicker!

Are any states due to announce today? I know the result may not be known until tomorrow but unclear as to what's happening next
