Yes it's not only just about the physical attack. As Jim Carrey was saying, this was seen by millions, to be seen again and again. It will never go away. Imagine how that would feel. As a comedian getting heckled must be bad enough, never mind all that too. God I still cringe for him. The way he mixed his words up afterwards (understandably) he did well to carry on though. I think CR will be fine career wise after this.... Not so sure about big WillieHe also humiliated and roared at him. I'm just not seeing the rights here

Well then why did he initially laugh? He only reacted when he saw Jayda wasn’t laughing and realised he will be in the dog house and so punched Chris to take the heat off himself. It’s sickening seeing him dancing around after and waving around his award without a care. Violent prick. If that was a white man he would have been escorted off the premises and arrested but because he is black everyone feels they need to be sympathetic to his aggression. That is black privilege.

Will did attack Chris. Anyone who deliberately strikes someone is an attacker, no matter how ‘little’ it may be considered compared to other assaults/attacksThe same one as you, actually. Depending on what you’d class as an attack I was (if you read what I wrote) referencing people acting like Will beat up Chris on that stage. A slap is an assault and of course not acceptable in any way but some people would or wouldn’t class it as an attack. That’s all I was referring too - not that Will didn’t do anything.

You see this all too often in pubs and bars.
Man decides his woman has been “disrespected” so he lamps someone.
Often with dire consequences, as a punch / slap can send you reeling to the ground fast with no time to save your head hitting the ground.
Horrible to think that violence is justified by some, because of being offended by a joke or remark.
The swearing and yelling also - really don’t get why he wasn’t swiftly removed.

personally I find the whole thing completely cringeworthy. The fact that he was laughing until he’s obviously glimpsed over at his wife goes to show how quickly he can snap- scary really.
If I was Chris Rock, I'd be feeling like shit. Loads of his peers saw him being hit by Will Smith, and then applauded the latter when he won his Oscar.
