What a thread guys. What a thread. I’ve read it start to finish. It has it all. I am fascinated by any prolific liar / social chameleon / ailment faker. Bravo everyone. What a day I’ve had.

Listen, I feel bad for her children. I feel bad for anyone who's unlucky enough to know and / or be related to her. But what are we meant to do? Just keep silent while she's constantly misrepresenting who she is, not only on her twitter feed and insta but inside the pages of newspapers and on the telly and radio? While she's selling stories about how one of her kids almost died, complete with emergency room selfies? While she's telling us she recovered from ME and recommending hugely expensive and completely nonsense Lightning Process in the Guardian? While she's taking in respected journalists from America to punt herself as the face of the longest COVID ever? While she's harvesting sensitive personal information about sexual assaults from her unwitting followers? I haven't even gotten into the trail of dead kittens she leaves in her wake, complete with Munchie-style medical 'interventions' including sticking little bits of plastic into the most recent dying kitten's mouth. We're all just to allow her to shit on anyone and everyone who has the misfortune to cross her path, to the point of trying to take her own sister to court for questioning her 'reality'? Her fanaticism has been the biggest open secret on the twitter backchannels for years now and yet she was still getting commissions which furthered her career, so it's clear the powers-that-be are (or were) in the dark about what they were dealing with. And we're meant to just wilfully ignore it and allow her to carry on as she was? That does no one any favours, least of all her. Least of all, her children.

Imagine telling people you lost your hand then years down the line casual as you like setting up an Instagram dedicated to you lifting “heavy things” with your two hands it’s amazing

She's not Jewish, she literally woke up one day and decided she was, got a jumper, clued herself up on some relative terms.
She has in no way converted, started to convert, or had any link to Judaism through family etc.

I’m a manager, I’m sure there will be loads on here too. Such a broad term anyway if I ever leave my job I won’t say it was a pleasure to MANAGE them (it fucking isn’t). I’ll say it was a pleasure to WORK with them (it fucking isn’t)

Started out as a Catholic, became an atheist raising her kids as "godless heathens" and stated that "organised religion is out of step with modern Scotland and in time for when antisemitism was being discussed nationally wrote about the travails of being a Jew in 2019 Britain. It's mince.

Conversion to Judaism via the progressive movements takes around 18 months. You have to go through the entire year of the Jewish calendar and study Hebrew, learn about all the facets of Jewish life in classes and then go on to have an interview with the Beit Din (religious court of three rabbis) of the movement, get circumcised if you're a man and go to the mikveh (ritual bath) to complete a rite known as tevilah (ritual immersion). That's pretty intense, and for the Orthodox you also have to live with a Jewish family in Golders Green to learn about being Jewish and commit to all 613 commandments in the Bible as well.

To go from "godless heathen" to a Jew in one year doesn't happen. The only way it could have happened is if her father happened to be Jewish and the Liberal Judaism movement who accept patrilineal descent (if the child is raised as Jewish) had issued her a status certificate stating she is Jewish. Even that involves paperwork and study and interviews, so there's just no real pathway for her to go overnight to being considered a Jew by any Jewish movement. And she's never indicated being raised as Jewish and a daughter of a Jewish father raised as Catholic would be a bit of a problem that would require more study to fix before she was regarded as Jewish.

After reading the first thread I searched all over the place for if she'd written an article in between about her deciding to begin the process to convert to Judaism. That would have explained some of this, although I'd call it poor form to write about being Jewish before finishing the conversion process. At least then it would have some explanation, but no, she's just *puff* insta-Jew with no history. A "why I'm converting to Judaism" article, which many writers similar to her have done, would at least indicate sincere intent but it just looks like as stated before it's for the kudos and little else because of the convenient whiplash in belief systems.

Or perhaps she's just a Cameron Diaz mega-fan...

I just decided to address the issue again as I'm Jewish and it pisses me off that someone's swanning around writing about our experience and our community as if she were one of us when it's obvious upon closer inspection that she's not. It may be a game to her, but to those of us who are actually Jewish claiming you are when you aren't is an insult.

I’m just a little confused about how someone could be the first person in Scotland to have Covid/travel cross country multiple times with Covid/have long Covid/ get married at a very expensive wedding venue during Covid/ ask for recommendations on local places to go for a honeymoon during Covid/ fly to Berlin during Covid/ go out to dive bars in Berlin during Covid/ then come home and claim to have post-Covid PTSD as well as having long Covid.

Honestly, I'd be fine with that, I don't think it's healthy for any of us to have someone posting so much unmitigated shite on social media. I was thinking the other day how tattle's really effective in getting liars to deplatform themselves (or at least take a good hard look at their online behaviour). We're cleaning up the internets, little by little.
