I made it a rule to only ever date people bigger than me, and it was one of the main reasons I decided DH was The One because he's 6ft4 and broad with it, he makes me look teeny tiny even though I'm not :D
Tragically I am the one who is 6 foot 4 and broad. If I only dated people bigger than me I'd have been shagging Hagrid.

Dear BlairWaldorf86,
I would like the request that you henceforth heretofore cease to post personal family photographs of me and my father.

Failure to comply shall result in a state of NC existing between us.

Regards,
dGeetbo

PS. Fuck off you bitch.

I was trying to explain to my husband why we’re all deeply invested in a woman with no teeth who who lives in a shit tip and claims to have learning difficulties going on holiday with multiple children and he looked at me as though there was something wrong with me.

Missing the point of the thread, telling everyone you’re not a poor and showing how (hypothetically) generous you are? Well done! You win mumsnet 🙏 you get a terrible tent dress and a gilded parking diagram 🙏 now please fuck off x

I'm having a very sad day today. Not sure whether to tell MN. First my car badly failed its MOT. It's an ancient banger that has mysteriously stayed alive for 25 years so I kind of knew it was coming but I'm devastated. Also, I've had some news form a hospital appt which may not have a fabulous result, so I'm really not doing too great.

I am imaging the replies though:
'Well, buy yourself a brand new 4 x 4 - I'm sure you can get one for under £100,000 nowadays? My DH bought me two last year, just ASK. If he doesn't agree, then I'd get your ducks in a row',

'Potential cancer? For goodness sake, I died of 4 different cancers yesterday and didn't moan about it'
(It's not necessarily cancer but I need some biopsies and the Dr used 'two week pathway', just to panic me more!)

More stunning tips on socialising from the John-terrrorising thread. Here we have the honour of a Poor whisperer sharing her expertise in conversing with the lower classes, who are of course boring as fuck, don’t read and met the host while doing a big illegal crime

Massive congrats @Serene Serena Love the name, although it doesn’t sound very DFrench to me?
Does this mean we’re all officially thread aunties?
You are all thread Godparents and therefore invited to the christening. The dress code is (obviously) fedoras and trouser suits for the lesbians and sister wife dresses for everyone else - thus making me look less elephantine in the photos. Agreed?

Awful @Serene Serena I'm so sorry. But laughing at "she was a vegan"
She was a vegan and one of those really irritating militant ones, who would tell me exactly how the bit of cooked cow on my plate had been slaughtered. Christ, I am going to miss her. We'd go paddle boarding in arctic temperatures and when we went to Surf Snowdonia, to do the inflatables, she pissed herself laughing when I got relegated into the 'over 75kg' group, so I wouldn't jump on the bouncy things and inadvertently kill a teeny tiny. She was a good 'un though, one of life's pure souls, she deserved to live to be 101. At least 5 families will have had the call they have been praying for, this weekend, because she was a match for a lot of people on the transplant list. ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I couldnt reply on the last thread but I just wanted to say to proceedwithcaution I am so sorry. ❤
I am currently going through a miscarriage…lots of pain and bleeding.
It’s shite over Christmas. Emotionally it can be unbearable
However I would never wallow in my misery like MN do. It’s not a misery competition. I can be upset but impinging it on everyone around me like a badge of honour is fucking selfish.
---
I’ve also decided to stop looking at MN for my mental health

Our Natasha fits the profile of using the internet to forge an alternate reality where you actually have a BIG job, some actual autonomy and exquisite taste in obscure, difficult to source, high class clothes. I strongly doubt any of it is real. Her dialogue is often a bit stiff and stilted, and she's not very self aware (she doesn't grasp humour or intuit very well) so perhaps she struggles socially?
I think she also struggles to dress her body type and possibly resents those who don't, ie conventionally sexy clothes.
She did admit to this, vaguely, somewhere recently.
As CEO of Ocado, I do find people like this very sad. I rarely go on Mumsnet as I'm very busy running Ocado and spending my enormous salary on designer clothes (mainly overalls and things with huge bows that partially block my vision as I love them so much) and £500 weekly manicures but when I do I often see these people living out online fantasies and I show them to my gorgeous husband who runs his own business and we laugh so much the echoes go through our 14 bedroom mansion for hours. It really is a silly thing to do as people know you're lying.

They are rubbing their hands with glee about PIP assessments getting harder. I can’t understand the venom that must boil within them to rejoice anything that makes life harder for those with a disability.
Those threads make me despair for humanity. Not even just on Mumsnet, I see it all over Facebook too. My dad worked his whole life in the NHS, working over time as much as he could in a very stretched clinic. He retired at 65, then we went in to lockdown so he went back to work as a volunteer to help out, giving up his own time for no money. 6 weeks later he had a stroke and is now paralysed for the rest of his life. He is entitled to PIP and has now got a motability car that needed to be big enough for his wheelchair and all his equipment to fit, as well as high enough for him to be able to get in and out of because he has no use of one leg and limited use of the other

Obviously he is grateful to still be alive, but his whole future has changed dramatically. And then you get all these gammons that believe that people like him are scroungers who should be living on the breadline and driving a fucking Toyota Aygo, with absolutely no comprehension of how difficult it is just to be disabled, let alone to know that people think you are scum for daring to use your own benefits on paying for something to make life a bit easier. Ughhh. I know wishing harm on people is awful, but I would love to see some of them get karma and become disabled because I bet they would have a very different view on it
