Had a look on a thread this morning about a woman who's ex had a filthy house. Her kids said it was so minging that one of them was holding his poo in cos he didn't want to shite on his dad's crap encrusted bog plus the kids came home smelling of that chip fat musty 1980s bedsit honk.

I went to click 'like' on a comment responding to one comment slagging off a reply that suggested the OP go over to ex's place with a pair of Marigolds to scrub the poor dear's toilet.

It was only then, dear reader, I realised it was a resurrected thread from last year and the comment was made by me under a different username. Feel simultaneously a right cunt but also smug with my past self. Like a shit version of Hermione's time turner but with skid marks.

I love how this poster of a totally genuine, not at all faux naive and goady thread about parental estrangement forgot to edit out their Chat GPT prompt :D

Excellent reading skills again.
Less than 50% of Mumsnetters would pass the key stage 1 SATs.

'The cat sat on the mat'
Q1 - where did the cat sit?

Mumsnetters answers-

What's a cat
What's a mat
Is there a cat
Is the cat sitting
What colour is the mat
What colour is the cat
Who did the cat vote for
What colour is the cat
Is it racism if I only like black cats
Cats are unhygienic
Mats are unhygienic
Mats are for poor people
Cats are for the working class
Is the cat fat
How old is the cat
Can I keep the cat and give up my MIL
My sister has a cat and she's a fat bitch
My husband hates our cat shall I divorce him
Everyone who has a cat has a house that stinks
Is the person who set this question fat because I won't answer a question asked of me by a fat person

Sorry for the disappearing act, but glad there was another responsible adult to keep you all going. My lovely father in law passed away last week, he was only 51 so it’s been a hell of a shock. Then I was on my phone that night as I couldn’t sleep and it was the night with all the csa stuff going on again. I’m so glad I saw the thread about it rather than seeing any of the threads it was on. But that frustrated me so much that I just took a break from it all as it seemed like you don’t even know which threads are safe to open anymore

My husband was SO excited he told everyone as soon as we knew. It was nice to have the support when I lost it a couple of weeks later…
I felt the same way. I’ve never had a successful pregnancy but I always was so exited each and every time that I told everyone. They shared in the joy and in the sorrow, every time.
Now I’m elderly (think between 49 and 51, but don’t want to reveal my age as it is very outing), I’ve come to acceptance that it’ll never happen and people are very understanding and supportive exactly because they went through it all with me over the last 25 years.

tattle has been incredibly supportive. Im currently going through a miscarriage and the thread for support for those suffering a mc has been a life saver plus tattle is hilarious and taking my mind off it.
I doubt the same could be said for MN who’d probably blame me

Just logging this new thread with 101. I’ve done a diagram of all my ducks in next door’s parking space.
