Boring Monday

When I was small, my gran had a dachshund that I used to dress up in baby clothes and wheel about in a pram. The number of old ladies that used ask to ‘see my dolly’ and then recoil in horror at a bebonneted snout was brilliant. It was like red riding hood in reverse.

I'm new to this thread so not sure if this has been talked about before, but has anyone else been banned on there for ridiculous reasons?

I'm a long time poster on there, and I tried to start what I thought would be an interesting political-type discourse, because I thought it would garner some thought-provoking responses, but got banned 30 minutes later because some clowns reported my thread as "goady". I mean fair enough to delete the thread if they thought it was too controversial, but to ban my account with no warning is just annoying. Rant over lol.
I got banned because I was racist, sexiest and goady.

Someone started (yet another) thread about Meghan Markle when her and Harry first started dating. Someone said why do the media ‘hate on her’ whenever she has an opinion about anything. And I said something like ‘well we can’t let women have opinions, where would we end up if we let women just discuss anything they chose to. It’s bad enough when married white women try and have their own minds but a divorcee who isn’t white? We have to put a stop to it’.

I unfortunately assumed the sarcasm was implied, but apparently mumsnet thought I was serious that women shouldn’t be allowed opinions and that I thought that it was even more important for any woman who wasn’t white to not be allowed to express their opinion. This is why I prefer tattle!

And WHAT, may I ask, is wrong with DLabrador???? My DLabrador moults like fuck, has taken to licking the kitchen floor, loves to eat cat shit and roll in fox poo, but she is still a D(ear)D(arling)D(iamond)Labrador!!
Not sure about DLabs in general but mine has as much wrong with her health as I do (we are single handedly and pawdedly (?) bring the DNHS and DVets to their knees 😉) but my god they're the best dogs. Mine licks the specks on my dad's fireplace thinking it's food even though out of the 1000 times she's done it, she hasn't been able to actually eat it. Dogs - sometimes smart, sometimes very much not 😂

She's sitting here hitting me now because I'm not touching her belly. Mumsnetters are miserable cunts and none of them deserve dogs anyway!

Well I have been making myself laugh with a AI photo generator and updating the MN advent calendar. Some will be new, some will be old and some will just be downright filth :ROFLMAO:
It will go live 12am on Monday, give or take. I think that will be GMT ,so our lovely DAmerican tattlers I'm not sure what that translates into, as the DUSA is so obese it has 3 timezones.
I'll put the link up for you at the weekend when I have finished tinkering xxx

Someone has posted basically saying that you give your all to your kids and when they grow up you're discarded and they live their own lives.

Someone has replied saying children don't necessarily do that. Some children die.

Today's ChatGPT effort in Relationships, created by a bored man fantasising about May to December lesbian awakenings.

I particularly enjoyed the phrase "Hair like a painting, laugh like music" - I'm picturing Hieronymous Bosch and Cradle of Filth.

My brother in law had a free bar at his wedding. People got very very very drunk and it wasn’t pretty. Brother in law is a massive show off though, he’s a banker (and a wanker) and likes everyone to know how rich he is. He’s also one of those people who has to tell everyone how much stuff cost. Nice jacket, BIL. Yes, I had it tailored for me for £7k. New car, BIL? Yes, £65k and an absolute bargain, 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱

haha that reminds me of my cousin so much. We were eating on the pavement tables outside a restaurant in Camden. As he was excitedly leaning over the table to tell us about his new Prada jacket, some bloke came running up and whipped it off the back of his chair and ran off into the night with my cousin’s iPhone in the pocket 😅 he then ran up £38 on my pay as you go phone trying to cancel the phone and see if he could claim on his contents insurance for the jacket and as I was a poor student I asked for the money, and he just turned to me and said ‘I think some perspective is needed here Jarvis, a thief has just absconded with my Prada’

Someone has started a “did anyone have a nice day yesterday” to counter against all the misery and someone has actually commented saying that it was in bad taste because some people may have had a bad day. 🙄

It was the most liked post and it made me laugh, we are where we are.

I never feel more helpful than when I do this. It's my only useful contribution to society.

I’ve mentioned it before but the funniest post I saw on Mumsnet was when a woman with a young daughter asked for ideas to earn money and someone suggested she played a tambourine busking on the street while her daughter danced and performed for passer-bys
