They were never Gimmie's real friends. Never. They were at best, friendly business acquaintances or colleagues. They were deliberately lumped together, by their PR agencies, to promote a totally faux 'sisterhood' in order to better shill to their naive followers. The poor, credulous followers saw this gaggle of glittery clad girlies and desperately wanted to belong too. Even if only by buying a Scamp & Dude sweater or that shitty La Redoute rug. These faux insta-friendships were deliberately created & deployed to appeal to their (typically vulnerable, isolated, lonely young mums) naive followers who yearned for a similar support network.

Shame on you InstaMums. If you had ever been true friends of Gimmie's you would have stood by her. Yes, acknowledged she'd been stupid and needed a clip round the ear, and needed a massive rethink of her attitude, but you should have stood by her. Because we're all human and capable of massive mistakes. And, there must be enough good in Gimmie to make her worth your friendship? After all, you couldn't get enough of her only 3 weeks ago, because you all thought her so amazing and inspirational and fantastic, yes?

Instead you dropped her so fast she must have whiplash and have flocked to Candice with your faux smiles. A self confessed pimp who will have targeted & used vulnerable women in order to line her own pockets. Just as you are all using CB now in the hope it will raise your profiles, increase your followers and line your own pockets.

Classy. Really classy.

I had never heard of Tattle before reading about what had happened. I've read some of the threads, and actually rather than petitions to bring it down I think it would be better if more people (especially younger people) read it in conjunction with Instagram posts to see that Instagram is not real life, and that what you put out there lasts forever, and is (rightly so) open to criticism.

I think in years to come people will look back on the exploitation of children by their parents and wonder what on earth was going through their parent's minds. I wonder if at some point we will start to see these children grow up and start to take legal action, and I hope legislation will start to be put in place.

I think as a society it has just become the norm to post about your children, I used to but since having some training at work on internet safety (I work with children and vulnerable young people) it was made me question whether this is sensible and have stopped posting about them, deleted posts and asked family and friends not to post about them. I figured I have little to gain from posting about them (a few likes), but potentially a lot to loose. It's an interesting discussion.

Another thread suggestion!

Hey Slymon, how's Clemmie, your publicly shamed spouse? 'Oh sorry, can't hear you, I'm listening to progressive house'

So before I start I wanted to say I truly have no strong feeling about MOD, I find her sanctimonious and holier than thou amongst a plethora of other things. But is anyone else here just baffled by the way these instamums have reacted? If anyone remembers Asha Pinda who lied about cancer and stole thousands, people barely batted an eyelid at that, yet these ladies are revelling in the attention from this. I find it hard to believe what MOD did on here, isn’t anything they all don’t do in their private group chats or even here themselves.

Also the troll thing angers me, she wasn’t trolling, we aren’t trolls. We’re women / men with opinions, were not even sharing them TO them, were in a public forum where unless they seek us out, they’d be unaware of. The troll paintbrush is fucking boring and another way to garner sympathy.

After all that time away, and after not only BLM but the AXA disaster, he crops a woman’s arm away to remove her contribution. A hard working woman, running a small business, during a pandemic, in a notoriously male-dominated industry. They could have given her the air time she deserves - she would have got loads of followers and potential work out of a shout out. But nahhhh. The Hoopers have to pretend they did it, to get empty praise from their huns. Way to smash the patriarchy, Slyyyyymon. We know you’re reading here, so again, just to be sure it gets through: you are a vile cunt. Credit that woman. NOW!

Noticed commenting has started again on meetthewildes post she apologised on a few posts and seems quite contrite .
Hi, it's Amber from MeettheWildes here - I've been a silent reader for a while and I've learnt a great deal from Tattle generally, so I hope that you don't mind me making a rare post to share that I've apologised on Stories also (it seemed less attention/engagement-seeking than to dedicate a grid post to the matter, though I appreciate that it's not ideal that my apology has disappeared 24h after the fact). As it can't be viewed any more, I've attached it here.

In short - I made a mistake and a serious one. I do feel that the NMC should investigate clearly what Clemmie said, the context in which it was said and the broader issue of whether there is a conflict of interest between midwifery and 'influencing' but it was inappropriate of me to suggest that my following should also consider reporting her to her regulatory body. Additionally, I closed the comments - for a number of reasons that felt justified at the time, but primarily because I had previously enjoyed a whole insta lifetime of being completely uncontroversial, I didn't know how to handle my comments blowing up. They are now back on, though I do hope that I'm 'yesterday's news' because I'd really like to return to bumbling along uncontroversially.

I won't interrupt your private space again, but as I've been reading for a while there are contributors here whose sound judgement I respect and who spoke out against what I had said, I just wanted to make it clear that I heard, and that I'm sorry.

Wow, so MOD, slagged off her friends in order to change opinions and defend her family. How come she didn't post any positive comments about her friends? Only posted positive comments about herself.

I smell 🐂 💩

I came on expecting him to have posted. Alas he hasn't.

I think the secret holiday exposed ruined whatever he was planning to post tonight 🤭
Dang!! He must be so frustrated! Gone from rubbing his little sweaty palms with glee about how clever he was, pretending he was at the tip when he was at a hotel in Tenerife, to having the rug swiped from under him yet again. His ready prepared grey, Kent, instafodder, hours of content yo-yoing curly moppets up and down the many staircases of Grey Towers, the long winded, unnecessary explanations of absolutely nothing whilst verbally jerking off into a sea of free velvet furniture, like a prematurely ejaculating ferret at a ferret orgy in a gifted festival bell tent with a free gifted nanny holding the fort. All for nothing, just burnt to cinders like any actual real part of his life that existed before he sold his children.
Not to worry, FOD is masterful and nothing will knock him down, he’ll be back tomorrow with some new best friends, words of jizzy wisdom, a few too many vulvas and the content will be saved for the next dark day.

Anyone seen this? Thatcancermum shared it.

Edit: I feel like I need to say this.. I've been reading this thread for a long time but never commented. Please don't think I'm a journo/mummyflogger/instahun 🙈🤢
Firstly, a couple of disclaimers: I am a WOC, secondly, I have a lot of time generally for Mars Lord. She has been a fantastic support to some dear friends. I also can’t comment on any previous incidents eg the book review as they were before my time.

However. Unless there are further comments than the infamous quote about CB being aggressive, I fail to see how MOD has bullied and trolled black women over 8 months. I haven’t even seen where she has supposedly brought Kele up on Tattle

Of course, everyone’s idea of what constitutes a racist comment is going to be different. I think it depends very much on life experiences and upbringing/community. And frankly, having been ambushed after school and had treacle and flour dumped over my massive Afro...that just isn’t a racist comment to me. CB has been aggressive on many occasions and while she mostly keeps it to her stories, if you dig into comments you can see so much prejudice towards non-black people coming from her. And yes, as soon as you voice a different point of view on any subject it quickly gets turned around to race.

I dunno, the whole thing has become a circus with people getting outraged beyond belief while listening to inaccurate hyperbole from a biased source. I think if people looked at tattle and did an advanced search on aliceinwanderlust’s posts they would see no prejudice against WOC. Just dislike of one person which another poster out into context further up the thread. It is also perfectly possible to dislike someone on a personal level but value their work, like say...inviting them to talk about a topic they’re passionate about on your podcast.
