I’ll admit it, I first checked out Tattle out of interest purely because of how it had been demonised with influencers Labelling it as ‘trolling’ - when the reality is, it’s people hacked off with the influencer industry promoting an unachievable and false ‘reality’ which long term is damaging to people’s wellbeing. *of course* outlets like Tattle would pop up. And the absolute hypocrisy of crying ‘trolls’ when a number of these mumfluencers are the first to complain to their audience masses of they are dissatisfied with a company/ service/ online message , and happily damage someone’s elses livelihood and reputation... but their actions are beyond reproach? Do me a favour!!

Agree. Everyone has done stupid things as teenagers that bear no relevance to who they are 20 years later. It is just another way to beat a person when she is down. She did a daft thing having a gossip/bitch about work collegues and was found out. I do not think her midwifery career should be taken away from her due to this. If anything, she should use this as an opportunity to say i dont like what social media has turned me into and turn her back on it.

But if you have a public persona that affords you a luxurious lifestyle and you work in an environment where your conduct is regulated well then there are consequences to your actions and let’s be clear this isn’t someone in the loo slagging off Brenda from accounts and being overheard by Brenda this is someone who wants to get this site closed down, who had empathised with fellow instagrammers about ‘trolls’ who for a very long time has been a member of this site ‘trolling’ those very same friends and her husband, this is someone who has slagged someone off then done a podcast with them. She’s been found out, done a half arsed apology, I don’t think she should or will lose her job but we didn’t make her do it she did it because she wanted to, it wasn’t a one off comment it was months of comments. People deserve to revel in it a little bit, it’s a shock, people are outraged because she’s done something that she had been practically campaigning against it’s like being a hard core vegan but tucking into steak every night, she’s a big liar and she’s been found out end of it’s not a little mistake it’s a bloody big one

I’d gone to bed at 8pm last night (Coronavirus) and woke at 3am...couldn’t get on to Tattle, Googling the shit out of things, on twitter on Facebook...nothing. When my hubby came down about 8am, first thing I said “they’ve closed down Tattle” like Id just found out I’d been sacked or had to have my foot amputated. I was surprised he started on about how disgusting it was as this was censorship of free speech. He then googled and found that it hadn’t been shut down...but I was quite chuffed he cared...especially as most of the time he’s talking to me I’m ignoring him and writing on here...just like now

What I don’t understand is why everyone is calling the racism card on Clemmie? She said she didn’t like that a person brought everything back to colour/race/class - that is not a racist statement. It simply is not. Especially not when the person in question absolutely does do that and that very issue has been consistently discussed on her thread. Fellow woc stating that CB actually harms progress in the way she brings absolutely everything back to race.
Seems like others are now afraid to engage the intelligent logical part of their brain and say that isn’t racist for fear of being called racists themselves.
She’s done wrong, I’ve no idea why a grown woman who was very successful would feel the need to do what she has done however it simply wasn’t racist. Stupid yes, racist no.

I tried to say all of the above to him before. If Clammy’s mental health was damaged so badly by living through social media that she had to behave like a total psycho bitch, perhaps don’t put your kids through it? To all those who say that she shouldn't be investigated by the NMC are completely missing the point - this isn't about trying to ruin someone's life for slagging off mates on a gossip site. It's about being made accountable for actions, especially important when someone holds a position of privilege and power as she does being a white midwife. She made racist comments and works in a profession where it is well documented that black women have poorer outcomes than white due to the institutionalised racism within. I couldn't give a shit about her slagging off her 'friends' - but the comment about CB was made by her and should absolutely be looked at. If the NMC then find there is nothing to answer for, fine, but it should be investigated.

Pretty sure this will all blow over once mercury is out of retrograde....

I feel a bit lost in the conversation but I think having "your life sorted" definitely isn't black or white. We're all facing issues of one sort or another.

Not too mention the “raising 4 strong independant little women” and then promoting a country where women have a male guardian their entire life (father, brother or husband). The hypocrisy is unbelievable.
