So ASA have replied to my complaint. Cut and paste below:

Thank you for contacting us with your concern. The complaints we receive are very important, because they help us to build a picture of the types of issues that affect both consumers and businesses.

Your complaint

I understand that you believe that the Instagram Story and Post by Simon Hooper was an undisclosed marketing communication for CaPietra tiles and Westone Bathrooms.
Our rules

Marketing communications should be obvious when they are engaging with advertising material.

Our decision

In this case, I note that the Influencer has now updated their post to include a ‘#Ad’ identifier at the beginning of the post. However, as we appreciate that this post was originally uploaded without these identifiers, we have been in touch with Mr Hooper and the brands involved to provide them, and remind them, with regard to what we expect of brands and identifiable as such. Consumers should be aware influencers on social media.

Thank you once again for taking the time to raise your concerns with us. Comments such as yours help us to understand the issues that matter to consumers and we will keep a record of your complaint on file for use in future monitoring.

Do you know what? I’m actually a bit excited to see what her next move is. Will they transform or just brush it under the carpet?
It will probably be a 5,000 word post all about how she’s on her period and got “caught out” so had to fashion a sanitary towel out of a kinder egg wrapper, a biro pen and receipt from Pret. And how she’s so happy she lives in Kent because she can pop over to Sainos and pick up a monster pack of Always Ultra pads and some dairy milk so that she’s not caught out again tomorrow HASHTAG “boss babe/stronggirlsclub/mama got this/my vulva is not the same as my vagina”

Reading all these posts about the Hoopers and all their former Instagram chums and feel like I’m somewhere in the middle now 🤷🏻‍♀️ Whilst I think MOD has acted wrongly I do feel that this should have been laid to rest days ago. These instamums aren’t going to let us forget are they though! I posted about TMS yesterday hoofing around London whilst posting her ‘please help me I’m so lonely’ stories and my blood boils. She was on today, in the same clothes she was wearing during yesterday’s sad stories, promoting anti pigment cream....it’s just all a joke! She must have filmed them all at the same time thus proving that she is absolutely full of bullshit! Now I’m watching the One Show with the kids doing the rickshaw challenge and crying because these are real children with real problems and real families who are asking us to donate to help them. Not lying instagrammers who just want us to line the pockets of their affiliate trousers, the purses of their affiliate bags and help them pay for their affiliate holidays. I hope the bubble bursts for them all very soon 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don’t know why her calling CB aggressive is automatically racist? CB does come across aggressive
A complex and nuanced issue, but my understanding of it is that it's like calling a woman "hysterical" . Yes, you can do it, and yes you can justify it, but we all know that it's a coded word. Black women get called "aggressive" and punished for behaviour that is actually a healthy, appropriate response to racism all the time. And it's for for white ppl to comment on what's racist/proportionate response to racism or prejudice (in the same way it's daft for men to hold forth on how women should respond/not respond to sexism).

CB may well be aggressive (and self-serving, and hypocritical, and the rest). But for a white woman to accuse her of "playing the race card" is really, REALLY problematic. For the same reasons it's shitty for men to roll their eyes when a woman gets passionate about something and accuse her of "hysteria" or ask if it's that time of the month or whatever.

It's just too simplistic to say "I'm allowed to call her aggressive if she's being aggressive!". We have to acknowledge the context in which we speak, and the layers of association. Certain words are, whether we like it or not, coded.

Soz about this but can we just take a minute to acknowledge my ViP status 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
I’d like to thank all my team who’ve worked tirelessly to get me here. Special thanks to Simon Cooper, oh sorry I mean whooper, what?Hooper? Oh yes Simon Hooper of course, who has posted shite after shite, crap story after crap story, but his real work has been done in the bedroom...yes pulling on those Burton Jeans every day has been my inspiration 🤩. Let’s not forget Multitwat, although a newcomer to my work, has, by echoing, identically, each post of Slymons allowed me to find the inner strength needed to continue this great work of ours.
Finally my Tattlers 🙌😍🥰 you make my day (throws roses and kisses at you all) 🌹 🌹 🌹 💋 💋 💋 🌹 🌹 🌹

I can't lie I have watched the implosion with interest and amusement.

But I am deeply saddened that the press aren't picking up the issues that tattle raise on a daily basis;

Child protection issues, horrendous over consumption, pressure on women to keep up and have it all, the PTWM charity pot, The Ingham dads behaviour, the undisclosed ads, the undisclosed swipe ups and cookies.
The complete lack of professional accountability and guidelines to adhere to.

I am also saddened that the insta mums live such vacuous lifes that they don't mention anything beyond #ads unless prompted to do so by a band wagon they can jump on.

There are huge education cuts happening, schools are closing for an afternoon across the country because they can't afford to stay open.
Women aren't being paid equally. (Google Samira Ahmed)
There is a large exodus of women MPs from parliament because they receive such horrendous abuse, a huge amount more than men.

But don't worry about social issues just be a good girl and buy this bag on this swipe up... It galls me that this is the current influnence on women, its bigger than some bathroom tiles, it's back to a 1950's way of being the little woman indoors who keeps the house and herself looking good!!

The irony of FOD commenting on ManversusBaby’s post about Harry protecting his families privacy 🤣🤣🤣
I’m no royalist whatsoever but FOD describing the Queen as “getting her knickers in a twist” (purely based on his own speculation) shows deeply ingrained misogyny I’m afraid. I thought he was all about ‘raising 4 strong women’ 🙄? How would he feel if one of his daughter’s concerns were brushed off by a man as her being “hysterical” and “getting their knickers in a twist” “calm down dear” etc etc. Pathetic bloke.

This whole situation reflects the need for this site.

These women are selling their children's privacy, selling the phallacy that you can buy your way into the cool gang, selling the overconsumption of every item of clothing/furniture/jewellery, selling the 'perfect magazine lifestyle, selling the pressure to keep up, selling the idea that you can be an influencer.

At tattle we have realised that it is utter nonsense and they need to be called out on it. The whole #womensupportingwomen hash tag is utter bullshit because real women supporting each other doesn't just give women the opportunity to sell the over consumption of products they get for free to other women.

The out pouring of support from accounts about the comments shows the MLM element to this media. Women are hoping to get noticed to by ❤ing comments. (And some of them want to take Mods crown)

Mods comments would hurt people's feelings but the use of devastated and heart broken is bollocks.

Where are these women when it comes to supporting the privacy of children, the vulnerable pregnant women buying unnecessary tat, the pile on on a women who asks where #ad is?

It is easier for them to slag of tattle and clemmie for posting on here than to reflect on their own behaviour and how it really isn't supporting women. I actually find the pile on on clemmie pretty revolting too, for women who are all anti-bullying... You could begin to argue that their behaviour isn't great!

I'm glad I found this site, I think there are an incredible amount of supportive, articulate women on here full of wit and fun.

I’d never heard of tattle before this drama, but I’m so glad I checked it out.

I’m on maternity leave right now after having my first baby 7 months ago, and I was feeling so lonely and jealous of the instamum crowd. I’ll be totally honest, I bought into the lies and longed for the holidays, designer furniture and actually bought 2 pairs of superga shoes (I don’t regret that though, they’re much more comfy than converse for me).
Thanks to tattle, and the MOD drama, I’ve had my eyes opened and I feel a lot better about my own life. Just goes to show how Instagram can really sucker you in. It’s dangerous.

I would like to take a minute to thank you Tattlers.
I came here during Alicegate and wanted to reduce how much time I spend on social media - it worked, but now I spend that time here 🙈🙈
